Was the loss Cam's fault? Coming up on ESPN first take.

with our defense you aren't going to win any games throwing 3 interceptions.

I think anyone who watched this game realizes that the Falcons aren't a playoff team

Yeah Cam..How dare u allow those guys that we pay the big bucks too to prevent the opposing team and their QB from racking up scores on us back on the field quicker than they need be...

Forgive my misdirect anger Cam. It's just easier to fault u for petty much everything since I know my team suck but we can't seem to do much about it and u're just an easier target...

I like Skip too for the most part, he does know what he is talking about.

What he fails to understand is that the defense and special teams (Cardinals and Bears game) have been the reason we have lost. We have a lot of talent on this team, but we are still young, two rookie DT, LB injuries and players still adapting to a new system. We give up way too many big plays and cant stop the run. Its hard to win games if you have those types of problems.

Cam struggled at times yesterday but I think the defense let us down again.

If he doesnt know this, he doesnt watch the games. If he doesnt watch the games, how does he know what he is talking about?

Actually after watching the replay several times on my DVR after the game it was totally his fault. After watching it twice during the game it appears that it was a definite TD if the ball wasn't tipped.

However, after watching it several more times it was a terrible throw that would have been behind Smitty regardless.

Don't take my word for it though, watch it for yourself.

What game are u talking about?

Misdirected my ass. Cam and this offense has scored 0 points in the 4th quarter in 3 games. He's scored 0 points in 5 games when we were not down by more than 2 scores. He's only scored in the 4th quarter when the other team's defenses had a 2 score cushion in garbage time or we played in a monsoon. And our D did its job that time, and closed out the game.

It's not misdirected. Whatever the hell happens in a football game in the first, second, third quarter doesn't matter as long as you are in a position to win before that clock hits 0.00. You can't expect defenses to shut out opponents completely in the 4th quarter....and even if they did, we would have still lost because our offense can't score in the 4th to win the damn game. Best we would have had is a tie.

How the heck do you expect to win when your offense can't finish games and score in the 4th quarter? You think other teams will just call it quits after the 3rd and lay down for our D? Or ANY D?

Our D was supposed to shut down the Falcons from midway from the third quarter? That's what you REALISTICALLY expect?

    • Biiiiiig eyeroll on this.  First, Look at historical stats of the most recent historical great DBs.  I plucked 3, Revis, Sherman, and Norman (cuzz he was our guy).  Combined post age 30, there are TWO pro bowls between those 3 and wanna get this...ZERO seasons with 16 games started.  ALL missed time.  It is RARE that Corners survive that long in the NFL and its about time we started recognizing this fact.  Jaycee is a good bet because it hasnt been anything seriously devastating injury wise, and with his sample size he could and should be an incredible piece for the panthers through age 30. Jaire kinda flops on the other side, hes 28...so hes under 30, but he wants his payday before it comes up, hes also been injury prone lately.  Bulk of the contract will be on opposite side of 30.  Will both of these guys help us be better in 2026?  SURE!  No doubt, but the question is, will these guys help us past 2026...not sure. The investment isnt worth the risk, nor would the ROI be anywhere close to worth it.  Neither guy is moving us from a 6-8 win team to a 8-10 team, period. My point is we're in this state a 6-8 win team IMO and he projects us as  a 4-6 win team.  EVEN if we think Jaire or Ramsey will make us a 6-8 win team, it in NO WAY is worth the money or capital to move that much just to suck kinda less.
    • I assumed he was retiring but apparently he plans on playing multiple more seasons.  Florida is gonna have trouble holding onto everyone.  Happens to all teams that have that much success.
    • I hate Marchand, but if he became a free agent.....
