Obligatory "Do We Sign This Released Player?" Thread: Albert Haynesworth

Proudiddy

Recommended Posts

Another one of these "Madden" inspired threads from Proudiddy.

Surprised you haven't started a thread titled: Sign Lofa Tatupu

There you go again...

This thread was made when our DTs were sh*t. He could be had for cheap. I suggested the risk was worth bringing him in and looking at what he could do.

How horrible.

And last time we had this debate, you ended up losing. Might I remind you, you're the only one who keeps bringing up Madden.

Let it go.

NO, I won't have sex with you.

Please remove yourself from my balls.

You seem a extra butthurt.

Whether you said to cut him or restructure, after the season he had, he isn't a candidate for either.

What was ill advised about suggesting we sign a guy that we have to pay very little. IIRC, his cap number wasn't that high once he was released... He could be had for cheap... Our DTs sucked until we stuck our 4th and 5th string guys in there... How is that dumb compared to slighting one of our best players?

I stated pretty clearly in this thread that I thought it was worth a shot considering the circumstances we were in - low risk, potentially high reward. Would've been worth a shot, but we didn't do it... So who cares? If he's low risk then I can completely understand not signing him... It wasn't any sweat off my back... But it was significant enough for you to come into this thread and trash people that thought it was worth a try?

Cool.

Now get back to feverishly searching all your Gamble posts and editing them before people find them... I'm not searching.

Hmmmm I'm pretty sure I said restructure him before this season, learn what the fug you're talking about.

Provide proof. Please do, please find ONE single comment where I said I wanted him cut. Go find it. Cause you obviously do not know what the fug you're talking about.

Pleaaaseeeeee find my comment.

Unfortunately you can't find anything. But I know what I read, because we had a rather good conversation about it and you were more than Adamant about the cutting of Gamble.

Actually I'm not the only one that read that comment. Plenty of people called you out on it. Your comment somehow disappeared after that. It's a conspiracy I tell you.

If I posted it, it still would've been in your posts from you quoting me. So there goes your conspiracy.

Proudiddy doesn't even know what the fug he's talking about, NEVER did I say restructure him after he had a great season this year. I said that LAST offseason.

Do what you do best, which is making pooty threads.

Reading comprehension fail.

I didn't say you said that. I said you wanted to restructure/cut a top-level corner... See, here is where your bias comes in... I have always believed Gamble has been a shutdown corner. You do not, so despite you trying to frame me as a prisoner of the moment, Gamble is only good to you now because he had an awesome season stats wise to convince dumbasses that didn't believe he was that good before.

Glad the bandwagon had room for you.

Do what you do best... Keep talking out of your ass.

    • He makes a good point about Wallace.  In fairness to Wallace it is hard to play your position as freely as you need to when your defensive line is getting pushed around like ragdolls.  One of the greatest attributes a defensive line has is sucking up blocks, freeing up your linebackers.  Our defensive line couldn't suck up a lollipop more or less blocks.  I think Evans, Sanders and Tremble are going to be a really nice TE group.  I can see all three getting time on the field.  If Sanders can improve as a blocker teams won't be so inclined to believe it is a pass play whenever Sanders is on the field.  Ryan Fitzgerald, I think was an awesome pick-up. Hopefully he can fill our kicker void. Luke Kandra many turn out to be our next Norwell.  Everything I have heard about him says he's a beast.  He needs some refinement, but the good news is he's got Hunt and Lewis (arguably the best guard tandem in the league) to learn from.
    • Great teams build through the draft and have several young players that start that are on rookie contracts. It's important to hit on players in rounds 4 thru 7.  These should be future starters and solid depth.  When you hit on most of your picks you free up a lot of cap space for those one- or two-year players to fill spots you are thin at. No GM is going to perfect on all their picks.  You're going to whiff every once in a while.  That was Hurney problem.  He'd nail the first pick but after that it was reach after reach and we couldn't get any depth on this team. I'm excited about Morgan as our GM and hopefully he'll be around a long time.  It will be even better if Canales can continue to grow as a head coach, both in the development of young players and play calling. I remember last season after Young came back in the lineup and started to perform well.  We saw different plays I had only seen other teams use.   If Canales's play design and play calling continue to grow. Morgan and Canales will be linked together for a long time.  It would be nice to see a Coach and GM together for a decade or two. Go Panthers
