i dont really understand this boards affinity to put players on the IR up on a god like pedestal, like its guaranteed that they will come back better than ever before. like we dont have to worry about that spot next year because they will be pro bowl when they return.

how is that working out for us and our 60 million dollar Davis? Beason is the only defensive player on the IR that i have any confidence in coming back and making a difference. so yes, i know the players on the IR, and i still think that defense is a MUCH larger need than anything on our top 5 rated offense.

like don't get me wrong, our defense is pretty bad and we shouldn't rely on injured players, but the talent gap between Kalil and the best defensive position of need is so wide it'd be fuging idiotic to take a defensive guy

The top 10 players in next year's draft will be offensive players. What defensive player would be deserving of a top five pick for us? You got to take Kalil. We'll get defensive players in free agency.
