Truth Is: The Defense Is Horrible. Chud and Cam Are Regressing.

Cam is the anti-The Golden Calf of Bristol. Great for 55 minutes, can't finish it late. If only we could put The Golden Calf of Bristol in with 5 minutes left in the game, we'd only have 1 loss right now!

hahaha, perfect comparison there.

now i dont think Cam is regressing, more like the NFL teams are starting to learn about him.

1st INT -Gross got manhandled and caused it, pushed into Cam just as he was throwing

2nd INT - Hangartner got destroyed by Suh, Cam tried to throw to receiver and got nailed in split second

3rd INT - Great play by LB, pass was perfect otherwise

4th INT - junk time

LOL. Way to make excuses. Especially that one. There wasn't a Carolina player in sight on that one. Not one! He threw it straight at the Lions defender.

2nd and 5 at DET 26 C.Newton pass short left intended for G.Olsen INTERCEPTED by D.Levy [N.Suh] at DET 14. D.Levy to DET 21 for 7 yards (L.Naanee).

We could have taken even 3 points and kept the lead right here.

Since my thread will get ignored minds well say it in this one

Our big play offense is new. Only speedster that can beat you on the field is Steve. Gettis woulda been useful but Chud needs to improve the offense by adding more shorter routes and check downs. Pilares, Goody, Tutu... all of them should be used. Its like we have a lot of weapons, but then we dont

1st - take the sack.

2nd - take the sack.

3rd - If the LB tipped it, it wasn't a perfect pass. And btw, it wasn't a perfect pass.

4th - agreed, didn't really matter.

That being said, Cam could've made more "veteran" decisions on the first two, so that can be considered those "rookie" mistakes we can expect as part of the learning process... But, the 3rd clearly wasn't there. Another mistake.

But this all goes back to Chud putting him in bad positions.

So do you count on 3 turnovers from 2 horrible throws and a forced fumble in the first 3 possessions from our opponent every game?

Yes, he is learning... But, he is also regressing from where he started. But again, I'm not really putting it on him... I think he's being put in bad positions in the passing game and I wish Chud would help him out.

If you put it like that he is, but he started out like he was an All Pro

    • Exactly He's played two seasons and started 28 games. He's well beyond the point of being able to point to 2 or 3 games and being able to say, "THAT is the QB he is and will be in the future" Of course he can get there, but anyone trying to use just those couple of games to rank his place amongst the games QB's today and their full career's worth of playing at that level, is just asinine. Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, Burrow, Hurts, Herbert, Daniels, Stafford, Goff, Geno, Purdy, Baker, Love, Dak, Tua, Kyler, Lawrence That's 17 QB's right there that have played better over their careers than Bryce has played at his best.  And I'm not saying they're all studs or guys I'd want to be our QB moving forward, Tua for example I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole, but his body of work is a million times better than Bryce's has been. It's also not including any of the other QB's drafted in 2023/2024 other than Daniels. So again, say you believe in Bryce, say you think he's going to prove he can and should be our QB of the future, that's all fair and totally fine. But nobody can say he's been an above average QB in his career thus far, it's just an asinine notion.
    • I'd think we could get one of those from Dallas for... whatever.
