Wore my Panthers testaverde jersey at RayJay today. Lots of different reactions... but all agreed it was a terrific choice to wear today for a throwback game.

From Panthers fans: "that's cool, awesome, where'd you get that, going old-school, did he play for us?"

From Bucs fans: "that's cool, awesome - but he didn't play for you guys, did he?"

In other words, fans from both sides had no idea who our QB was for almost 1/3 of a season a few years ago.

Still, lots of laughs from folks who appreciated the humor and sentiment. Any fan can wear a Cam Newton jersey but still seem like a bandwagon fan. A true fan goes for the obscure - yet still recognizable - reference from years gone by.

i'm not a fan at all of thinking somehow uniforms superstitiously cause you to win or lose, but it can't be confidence boosting to wear uniform colors that make you look like a giant easter egg with arms and legs
