Refs sucking Brady off..

I'll be the first to admit that Brady and Manning will get the calls that ordinary QB's won't.

MJ was the same way. He would just about have to maul a guy on the court before Refs called a foul against him. Opposing coaches even had a name for it, "The Jordon Effect." (Something like that.)

Bird and Magic were the same way intheir day. Bird was one of the worst trash talkers in the NBA. He fought with Bill Lambeer, Doctor J and several others. Yet, I don't think larry ever got ejected from a game or ever fined by the NBA. (I can't recall that he ever had a technical called against him.) I do remeber Danny Aige getting a couple called on him just for pushing a guy during one of Bird's altercations.

When you are that good and make that much money, the refs seem to give you the benefit of the doubt. (No matter what the league.)

    • Moved to Tuesday, not Wednes because of scheduling with Flyers game or something in Philly. But I don't feel good about the Heat.  It has been a great season regardless.  Team just been playing so hard to move up since a bad start and just picked a bad time to get gassed.  It's like almost everyone is shooting cold at the same time even wide open shots.   Maybe atmosphere and playoffs kick off a spark.  I'd rather be in a series than a one and done though. The team has a good foundation to build on regardless of what happens.
    • Dan's been talking about upgrading CB since beginning of free agency
    • I'm more of a Hornets fan than I am a Panthers fan, I've watched a ton of this franchise the last 20 years. I post all day on RealGM. Don't get your hopes up, this is setting us up for a 20 point loss to the Heat and a swift end to the season. Spoelstra has always solved us, the Heat have two bigs that we have no answers for, and Jaquez is a certified Hornets killer that always plays us like he has a grudge on us. The Hornets being a top 10 team all year and a top 5 team the last half of the year and then flat out missing the playoffs is incredibly on brand for this crappy, horrendous franchise. I would love to be proven wrong. But I've suffered enough to know this little scheme the team is pulling. We finished 2 games out of 6th and guaranteed playoffs, and we blew two games to the Pacers and Nets earlier in the season, when they weren't trying to win. It's just who we are, Hornets DNA
