What good microbrews in San Diego? I'm gonna be there over christmas

IPAs are all the rage right now, especially here. Personally I'm a porter/stout kind of guy, but tasty beer is tasty beer.

Some notables to check out would be Stone, Strauss, Pizza Port, Ballast Point, Lost Abbey, Mother Earth, and Alesmith. You can pretty much go to any respectable alehouse in the area though and they'll have a wide selection from several of these microbreweries on tap. Stone's Smoked Porter is my favorite of the year.

Enjoy your stay! It's been a little bit of a chilly winter here though.
