Pro Bowl Selection: Steve Smith IN Newton OUT

I can live with Eli over Matt but Matt should be next. He's put up great numbers and lead his team to the playoffs in what 10, 11 years.

Cam, a rookie, took this team from the basement in offense to 4 and 5th place respective in the NFL rankings in a lock-out reduced season. If the defense and special team had shown a bit more love, the Panthers might have been in the same breathe as the other play-off contenders. It took Matt Stafford, almost four years to stay healthy and get it right with the Detroit Lions and you're upset because ur rookie QB is ahead of him? Okay...

Yes, but how much better is he this season when he's 25 td to 16 turnovers and he has had some of his turn-overs credited to his receivers and not to himself or he would have been higher. I should now, I watch the Gaints play.

But yes, you're proving my point. Why is the love so much different this year than in past if he's playing pretty much about the same, take or give a few Ints.

Well besides the fact that fewer turnovers is pretty important, he has more yards, a higher avg., and has been the definition of clutch in the 4th quarter. He hasn't been playing pretty much the same, he has been playing better according to the numbers.

Alternate? Alternate is like being your 4th or 5th choice to the highschool prom.

Homecoming queen? No.

Cheerleader? Nope.

Cute girl that helps out in the school office? No way Jose.

So you're stuck. Either the slut with the cold sore, the weird girl who likes the Cure or the girl in the back of the class that smells like patchouli.

I think somebody had a bad prom...

Gamble might be the snub of the decade. I just read that, according to football outsiders or some sort of in depth stat website, Gamble was second the NFL to Darrell Revis when Opposing QB's throw into his coverage. QB's against revis were at 45.4, and against gamble they were 47.4. And its not like you can even blame it on picks, Last year, Revis and Aso had 0(ZERO) Int's, and Bailey had 2 for the AFC. And Mike Jenkins had only 1 for the NFC. Its completely beyond my comprehension that Gamble didnt make it. Not even as an alternate!!!!

You wouldn't know that Cam Newton was the 1st alternate if you watched NFL Suckwork.

You do know that Dalton is. Been mentioned several times. Oh great. A story about The Golden Calf of Bristol because he's "an" alternate.

Cam Newton "didn't make the Pro Bowl" this year.

He "didn't make the Pro Bowl" this year. It rolls off their tongues so dismissively, and that's as far as it goes.

    • I meant to type more my bad…. first and main reason we’re probably trying to add him his pff scores are high very high. Being that we value that much more nowadays I know he’s on our radar. His run stopping grades were like the highest of all LBs. That would have given us top graded plates at all three levels Brown then Pratt with   JC and Moehrig were definitely stopping the run this year with these monsters fully healthy. I hope we dangling some of that Clowney money at him we need him to solidify our defense. add in the NC ties and we should be in play got his services
    • You're not even reading what I'm saying you're just ranting. It has everything to do with draft pick value vs. cap space impact. The agent knows he's holding significant draft capital over the GM's head vs. minimal cap impact. Not everyone is geared like Dave Gettleman where literally everything boils down to a dick measuring contest. History indicates the agents progressively whittle away and win the battle vs. the GMs on the rookie contracts. Hell, we have an owner throwing out typical 6th rounder guarantees at UDFAs just to secure them. He's not sweating pennies on the dollar against the cap or trying to protect his precious wallet. It's the one thing I do appreciate about Tepper. The man will spend to try to win. Being cheap hasn't been our issue.
    • I would LOVE to have the talent that Oakland and NY(Giants) have. They were/are WAAAAAY better rosters.  I think we will finally crawl out of that "worst" spot this season, even as a massive sceptic.  We need it.
