9 times out of 10 when someone tells you "it's worth way more but I'm willing to give you a bargain because I need to sell it today" they're trying to rip you off

if he can "easily" get 11K for it like he says then why doesn't he? what's this great emergency that he's willing to flush 3K down the toliet just to sell it faster?

sounds like a load of crap to me though to be honest I have no idea what this car is worth

RUN!!!

1. From what I can tell, some parts of the frame are in two different shades of orange. This means it has been rebuilt from a wreck, and you do NOT want a rebuilt car that has been welded together. No sir.

2. There is a lot of rust in the engine bay... that means that it has either been exposed to water or been neglected. I NEVER buy something with that amount of rust in the engine bay.

3. It's a 1975 Corvette.... with an automatic. Automatics back in those days were highly inefficient and no fun at all. I myself wouldn't buy it based on just that right there. Buying a classic Corvette with an automatic is like having beer without alcohol. Plus, given that the guy's begging you to take it off his hands, that could mean that the tranny is about to go out.

4. People who claim that you're getting a "deal" are usually scamming you, which means that something major could be wrong or about to go wrong with the car, or the car could be rebuilt... which like I said you don't want.

Long story short... don't buy.
