we will be drafting LaMichael James in the 2nd rd.! Fill a need? Apparently RR thinks so! He is the only scat back being offered up in the draft and in FA. Can't really say I like the move, but as explosive as he can be.....man what a nice tool to add to the offensive toolbox!

I was that shocked when I heard RR say we need a scat back. Now, I looked (out of boredom) to see who was out there to fill that "need" and him, Rainey, and Demps were the only three from the Draft and FA. Demps is going the olympics route and Rainey is garbage! That leaves LaMichael. Now, I hate the idea and figured if I brought it up then it will not happen, but if it does then let's be honest..............a nice weapon to have and in theory makes our already dangerous offense even more dangerous.

i feel real confident in saying that would be a monumentally bad idea.

we have weak spots all over the place at starting positions. we don't want to spend an early pick on a guy who would be 3rd on the depth chart and only used situationally with no real significant amount of PT.

we can find someone that fits the bill late in the draft. it's something fancy to add that would be fun, but this team needs too much work to draft that guy so early.

there is someone i was looking at the other day from a smaller school that looks like he would fit the bill and it was someone that wasn't projected to very early at all.

i can't remember who it was though.

I will agree, I don't think its a good idea.................BUT, look at it a little deeper. Look what Sproles offers! LaMichael becomes our PR also and is a BIG threat at PR. One guy gives us a HUGE threat to offer with our offense and gives us a legit PR. I'm not gonna cry if it happens.

Indeed, but getting our starters back is an instant upgrade. I am confident our 1st pick in the draft will be defensive and help in our ability to generate more of a pass rush. However, LaMichael James gives us help in sustaining drives, makes our run game even more dangerous, and helps us murder even the best defenses in the TOP battle!
