Who is the Panthers 3rd string halfback?

It will be birmingham the guy has been on the team for a while now, I think he's able to step up and hold the third spot. That was a no brainer. Why do people feel that we always need to pick up somebody new. We have depth. Birmingham doesn't suck. He'll he never got to see the field because goings was here. That doesn't mean he's not capable to hand the job.

I was actually thinking about this same thing the other day when someone posted the picture of Rosario's game winning catch in SD and noted that Goings must have missed a block to be in the endzone as well (I lol'd when I read that by the way). Anyway, I was pretty impressed with Birmingham in preseason this year and think that he should get the nod for the 3rd RB, especially since he could help on returns if need be.

I was sad Toefield didn't look any better... I had high hopes for him. Sitting several seasons behind Fred Taylor and MJD; you can't play with and watch much more talent than that year in and year out unless you're a 3rd RB for the Panthers. ;)

Yea, the halfback spot is easy to fill with depth as prett much any physically talented guy can get in there and be a set of fresh legs. I don't know much about Birmingham honestly (never heard of him) but I was just curious. He could play a role this year as I doubt both your backs will be healthy all year.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Cedric Peerman in the 5th.

I don't think he will make it out of the 4th, and people are always going for the speedy guys.

I think he had the fastest 40 time at the combine for RB, so that will warrant some attention.

    • I’m an optimist thru and thru. I love any win this team can muster, and Bryce did what he could to keep the team in it, but he’s why the team was out of it to begin with.  I like the guy, but he is not… he’s just not it… and I was swayed by the way he finished last season, but his physical limitations will never be overcome. A one arm tackle stopped him in his tracks en route for 6, among several other plays where an even average starter in the league succeeds.  A franchise QB is supposed to be his own cheat code. Bryce needs a cheat code dude, that is not him, to win. Chuba CARRIED (literally) his ass last season. Thielen bailed him out EVERY game he played in last season. Today: Rico turned in one of the best games in franchise history, Tet was unguardable and put up at least 100 yards on his own (PI yards included),  and the defense basically pitched a shutout after going down big so they could beat one of the worst teams in the NFL.
    • Jimmy came thru today I hope he is active next week   (2) NFL on X: "Bryce Young to Jimmy Horn Jr. on 4th down! MIAvsCAR on FOX/FOX One https://t.co/HkKw7uXVnt https://t.co/FYOfsxtAMk" / X
    • Rico 10000% saved Bryce Young from being benched for the Dallas game.  The way that game was going there was going to be no way to trot Bryce out next week at home if it kept going like it did.  Bryce probably is safe from bench risk until the next home and home presents itself.    He can’t be playing bad going into that next Atl game and then lay an egg in it.
