23-0, 41-9... when it REALLY mattered... yeah, that guy that put up 0 and 9 points against us is the guy I want leading my team...

Yes he has grown as a player since then, but the fact that most of you think he's top 5 in the league says a lot about either you, or the league...

People that tout postseason greatness are the same ones that voted Terry Bradshaw into the HOF, and he is probably the most comparable historical QB that I can think of to Eli... lol

you took a 2 game sample.... that should drive your point right home.

... the same way people take a couple of Jake's games and act like he's the greatest QB in Panther history...

Eli is a good QB. He is still terribly overrated, and is not in the top 5 in the NFL.

Good on him for being in his second Super Bowl, but too bad he'll lose...

Of course I shouldn't have put it beyond the realm of personal comprehension that you wouldn't understand that I was illustrating the reverse point... That if people want to take a couple of Eli's recent games/seasons and talk about how elite he is, then I can snag a couple to prove the point that he is far from it... but I did, I guess...

      The good thing about replacing a bad player is you really have nothing to lose. If their replacement is bad so what, you didn't get much worse and probably saved money.

      I came over from the old Panthers Insider site. When Fox Sports bought that platform it slowly just started dying plus the guy who ran that site was dealing with some pretty significant health issues so the whole thing just slowly fell apart. Quite a few of us migrated over here. Not sure how many are still around.  I miss that place. It struck a nice balance of having enough active posters to keep productive conversation flowing but didn't have so much traffic that you end up with a lot of trolling BS. This place is getting there though since we shutdown new registrations but at some point we're going to have to open it back up or we'll watch this place slowly die off too as posters fall off for one reason or another. We just have to figure out a way to filter out the spam bots. It was a never ending battle to ban the spam bots to keep then from overrunning the site. You'd think they'd be a little more strategic. I mean, if you fill a site with nothing but spam people are just going to stop coming so it's not a sustainable model. But nope, every one of them makes dozens of duplicate threads filling up pages upon pages as soon as their account goes live.

      lol...I don't remember that.  Although recalling what I had for breakfast yesterday is sometimes a challenge.  Hope it was a positive thing.
