You would assume that every team very much wants their first rounder to be able to start in the coming season especially if you are picking top ten. Given that, which guys can start on our team and will be around when we pick. I would say only these 4 guys:

Rieff

Brockers

Does this mean that a GM would go this route?

By all accounts, Blackmon won't be there, don't agree on Still or Martin and have my doubts about Kirkpatrick.

Maybe Jenkins, not sure we would take him that early though

The top 15 or 20 CBs in this draft could probably start for us day 1...top 5 or so Safeties could probably start at CB for us...some of the receivers too.

and Reiff/Martin/any OT outside of Kalil - only if Otah is injured. Otah's better than any of them but Kalil if he's healthy (and if he's not, fug it. After two years off, IR him again and give Bell one more year to show he might be able to play RT and then get a RT next year if not. RTs don't get drafted as high, could probably get a good one wherever we pick next year).

I'm not blown away by the OT's other than Kalil, but honestly, they can probably still do OK. All the other guys that we've mentioned on these boards honestly I think are fine and can start right away.

I would hope the panthers dont IR Otah again, hes going into the last year of his contract and unless they plan on re-signing him, which I dont see happening, there is no benefit to putting him on the IR instead of cutting him.
