I wont claim to be an expert on cap stuff and I will need factual links/info to believe any of you mouthbreathers.

Looks to me we could:

Release TDavis and resign cheaper.

Extend Wharton

Extend Steve Smith

Cut Baker

and be sitting really comfortable under the cap.

Wharton is signed through 2013. What we do with him is up in the air. He had a real bad year in 2011 and it is unclear if he fits into the long term plans or not. If he does than restructuring or extending him makes sense but he might be released. I agree that it makes sense to extend Smith and really Baker hasn't had a good year since 2009.

Im pretty confident they will need to release him and sign him back at a lower rate.

Davis will be cut. If no one picks him up we can sign him to a new contract at a much lower rate.

I think there's going to be a couple of "surprise cuts" and one surprise signing when all of the restructuring goes on. The signing being the greater of the two surprises, considering we never sign FA starters.
