Something that has stuck with me...on one of the Panther radio programs, Eugene Robinson was talking about a conversation he had with Martin in the parking lot post-game (don't remember which game). Martin was dejected, and told Eugene he was embarrassed, that he always thought tackling was one of his strengths, and now he found himself performing poorly in that area.

From the way the conversation was described, it was clear that Sherrod had lost a lot of confidence. That is something that may be fixable with coaching and competition.

It would be nice to see him get it together, because he has some talent. Time will tell.

I hope so--he is a good athlete. In a similar context, you might remember the interview after the Saints game with Richardson. He was pointing out positives about players and when asked about Martin, he replied, "He is a safety on our football team." If JR loses confidence in him, it is more important than if Martin loses confidence in himself.

Maybe a new coach, maybe a new year, maybe a new position, maybe a new team. We will hope for the best.

Is a hogan / munnerlyn battle enough to rely on this camp or are we still hung up on getting a 6'1" or taller Corner?

What's wrong with an adequately sized cornerback?

I don't understand the problem with this, taller wide outs will always beat Captain or anyone that's as short as him. He's been beat plenty of times with a fade route. I'm personally tired of it.

    • Oh, no TV for tonight's game unless you have the NHL Network, I believe. I could be wrong, hopefully?
    • Early returns are great and exciting but also worth noting that Gettleman had a few drafts that looked incredible early on and wound up mostly sucking (2014 mainly). Also PFF; grain of salt, etc.    I'm completely sold on Tet being a stud, knocked a high pick out of the park like we needed to and always should. Nearly sold on Scourton. Not sold on Princely but he had flashes. Not sold on Etienne as more than a 3rd stringer and special teamer, but that's not terrible for his draft position. Big fan of Ransom and think he'll be a starter.  Cam Jackson : IDK, I see limited upside but we didn't see much of him Evans was a nice find for draft position and he had a great rookie year for a late round rookie TE with plenty of veteran competition. Not sure about his upside though, seems like best case is a long term #2/3 TE, which isn't bad. Jimmy Horn, personally I didn't see a damn thing from him that impressed me all year. And he got a lot of opportunities. Pulling for the kid, but not convinced he's an NFLer.   UDFA: Fitzgerald was an amazing find
    • Hoping someone tells us Bussi was in the starter's crease for the morning skate. Otherwise, place your 1st shot- 1st goal bets! Any closer to a deal that could land a 2C in Trocheck or Brayden Schenn? Or land a winger in Alex Tuch or reach for Jordan Kyrou?
