Adam Caplan ‏ @caplannfl

#Eagles announced they placed their franchise designation on WR DeSean Jackson. Was expected all along.

There's 1.

Michael C. Wright ‏ @mikecwright

RT @JasonLaCanfora: Raiders have informed S Tyvon Branch he will be franchised. #insideslant

And another.

i saw a statement somewhere that they were expecting as many as 25 franchise tags this year. iirc, they said that was also 11 more than any other year.

meanwhile, panthers have all key players wrapped up. no need for a tag on anyone.

Dolphins apparently won't be tagging Paul Soliai again.

Brent Grimes saying he won't sign his tender.

I wouldn't mind Soliai in San Diego, but I don't see him fitting moneywise.

Marshawn Lynch got a deal in Seattle, so he won't be tagged. Looks like same could apply for Steve Johnson in Buffalo.

Tennessee seems directed to use theirs on Michael Griffin and to let Finnegan go to FA.

Deadline is today.

    • yea....Minnesota fell off the map this year after going 14-3 with Darnold...bet they wish he was back... and his record looks good this year...maybe he figured it out.... he does get the tight azz in big games still.

    • i presented this in another thread. he throws better to the out breaking routes the wr run, but almost nothing to the inside. that is half the options on a wr route tree. How do you run an offense like that?  even the outbreaking routes he throws are moonballs, that allow the DBs to catch up unless the wr is wide open. he has to throw with a lot of anticipation becuase he doesnt have the arm strenght to get it there if he is a little late. thats probably why you see balls behind the wrs.
