CRA: Does not think Steve Smith will make the Hall Of Fame although he is talented enough to. There is no convincing him otherwise.

Jabberwockie: Thinks Steve Smith is one of the greatest receivers of all time and doesn't care what anyone else has to say about it. He hopes that Steve Smith makes the Hall of Fame because he believes there hasn't truly been a receiver like him in the history of the NFL!

I do not think he will make the HOF without him drastically upgrading his resume. Adding 3 more 1000 yard seasons with 6-9 TDs.....IMO won't be enough.

If he can get to the postseason his last few years and add being a top 3 postseason WR of alltime....then maybe.

I never said that. What I've said is that Steve Smith is going to give himself a good chance. People always want to say "zomg! Andre Reed ain't even in the Hall brah!" but fail to realize Steve could pass Reed if he keeps up an adequate pace and could challenge Brown.

He's one of the best of all time. And my initial point is that if you say that, you're being a realist. Not downing on him simply because he plays for us and someone pissed in your corn flakes when you were little.

A certain group of people will always take the negative approach to something, and then justify it by saying "Bro, I'm just being a realist you need to quit being a homer."-the thing is here, if we wanna be realistic, Smitty is one of the best to ever play this game.

I completely agree with you. I hope that he has a shot at the HOF because he is my all time favorite player. I was just having some fun doing my best to summarize the basic subject of the thread. I may have been a bit unsuccessful in my endeavor and apologize to any who may have been offended by my tomfoolery. :D
