I wouldnt mind The Golden Calf of Bristol at all. He wouldnt be the starter, but we could use him in some packages Chud likes to run. I think Cam can handle the hits, but would much rather get a guy like The Golden Calf of Bristol to come in and take those hits instead of Cam.

Also, if Cam goes down, we would have somewhat of a similar guy to replace him. The Golden Calf of Bristol is nowhere near as good as Cam, but hes a QB that likes to run ala Cam.

This is a deep field throwing football team with a version of the "air-coreyel" offense. The Golden Calf of Bristol does not fit our scheme because he cant throw which is needed to open up our offense at a high level..

The Golden Calf of Bristol throws the deep ball well, probably the one positive in his throwing game. Not saying he will fit our system because I don't think he fits many systems that require QBs to pass like a normal QB.

I agree. Tebows problem is accuracy with the short routes. His deep throws though are usually on the money. I dont see us going after him, but if we got him, I wouldnt be disappointed at all.

I doubt The Golden Calf of Bristol would settle for the 3rd string spot on our depth chart if we signed him.

We have one God Awful 3rd string QB on this team....why would we want to replace him with another God Awful QB.

Choosing between having Clausen and The Golden Calf of Bristol as our backup QB is like deciding whether to be kicked in the left nut or the right nut.....personally, I would rather not be kicked in the nuts at all.

Not really. He completed 58% of his passes that were 10 yards or less (58 out of 100).

36.7 % that were between 11-20 yards (29 of 79)

31.3 % that were between 21-30 yards (10 of 32)

19 % that were between 31-40 yards (4-21)

and he went o-fer from 41+ (0-5)

Everybody just remembers the deep throws because they constantly showed 3 or 4 highlights over and over again. He is not an elite downfield passer or anything.

The Golden Calf of Bristol could probably succeed with a team that is committed to running it 40-50 times a game and playing defense/field position, but that is not us anymore.
