The Official Nfl Nike Uniforms, Merchandise, Etc...thread

It looks like the Panthers and the Raiders are the two teams that decided to not go with the jersey all the other teams have. If you look on the that Nike uniform site it shows the "flywire resists stretch around the neck", and the other jerseys don't have that mesh material all over anymore. Take a look. I wish we would have went with what the other 30 teams did.

With our logo change, the Panthers are ineligible for another uniform change for the next 5 years, per leage rules.

From an article about the Lions that will also apply to the Panthers

Fans can expect some substantial alterations to other teams’ uniforms, but not the Lions. The team changed its logo in 2009 and is still under the NFL’s five-year rule which prohibits any other uniform changes for the first five years after an initial change.

“Anyone who was outside of that five-year window could do something and some teams did,” Lions equipment manager Tim O’Neill told Detroitlions.com. “We couldn’t do anything to our uniform, but that being said, it is going to look different because we used to be in that cloth diamond mesh."

GB doesn't have it either if I remember correctly.

Well, after looking at all of the elite jerseys offered, I found Green Bay, Carolina, Atlanta, Raiders, decided not to switch to the new uniforms. I think I do like the new ones better.

Do you mean the new collars or new jerseys? I think they all are the same makeup it's just the collars are different.

And some of the new two tone collars are awful.

    • At this point, I think Chubba is the odd man out. I hate that, but I think Dowdle gives us more production and big play ability.  But there is still a lot of football to play.  I think it depends on how much Dowdle will want too.
    • I’ve been anti-trade when it comes to Melo, but the way this season has started, it may be time.  I love his game and he’s a cool dude, but I’m starting to think, if he’s your best player, you’re never going to win anything of significance.  Too many brain farts, too many injuries, and ultimately for as fun and entertaining as he is to watch - his game is indeed a thing of beauty - it just doesn’t translate to wins.  And that’s IF he even plays.  I think it’s time to cash out and maximize the return.  I love Melo, but I think it’s pretty clear what the ceiling is for a team where he is the best player.
    • Every NFL team, college program, hell even HS has numerous "what ifs" that got derailed by injury. It's a brutal sport and half the battle is just getting lucky enough to stay healthy. Doesn't matter how durable you are and how well you take care of your body everyone is one weird hit or awkward twist away from a career derailing injury.
