Plenty of people refer to them as the Bobs. Welcome to 2005 Hatter. Now tell us how much you hate and cant relate to our founder and owner but are a "true fan" of the Bobs. LMAO.

So, I guess we should call the Panthers "The JR's" by your logic.

Bob Johnson SUCKED as an owner.....the fact that you revere the man so much shows how truly awful your decision making process actually is.

madhatter makes david duke look like john brown. He slams our current ownership because of their melanin, and goes easy on JR and Shinn.

We're talking about a guy who gets so enraged and bothered when people speak positively about blacks. He takes it as slight on himself that people call them the Bobs. Plus he's simple and country and doesn't realize our logo is of a real animal.

There you go again KT....showing all of us that we are right about you. EVERYTHING to you is about race.

You can't refute any of the comments that are made about our drafting history, trade history, etc..... All you do is spew racist rhetoric to deflect your lack of arguement.

Please give me examples of how Johnson and Jordan have made GOOD management decision in building a successful franchise. Please feel free to include great draft picks and excellent trades in your arguement. While you are at it, please show their great business model that has build a financially viable organziation.

This should be good!!!!

As for Shinn....I have stated numerous times here that Shinn was a piece of human garbage. He was a horrible owner, and is an even worse person. The fans of Charlotte ran him out of town because of this. So, as usual.....you are an idiot and a moron.

KT keeps mentioning Shinn....which is laughable.

I would choose either Johnson or Jordan over Shinn any day. Shinn is a piece of crap as a person.....Johnson and Jordan are stand up guys who have not embarrased this city.

However, all three still SUCK as owners and managers of a basketball team.

KT Today:

Truthfully speaking, this forum is not an accurate potrayal of our fanbase. Carolinahuddle is a Panthers fan board first and foremost. A lot of people who like the Panthers dont necessarily like or appreciate the Bobs. And people here think the Panthers marketing strategies and ownership are "successful" and the end all be all. I will say their conditional support typifies Panther fans, who's gameday experience and atmosphere has no soul to it. We have good discussion and this is one of the best parts of the board but in no way do a lot of these dudes rep TRUE Bobs fans.

...

Don't let the 4-5 turncoats who keep pieing this thread make you think we're all like this

All like what? This?

KT 2010:

Nothing I discuss here isnt something that hasnt been discussed ad nauseum in sports bars and water coolers around town. And you might not notice this, but Jerry Richardson's credibility isnt real high right now in the city of Charlotte. He's known as an owner who puts $$$ before anything. Including his own sons. The thing thats destabilized the Huddle more than anything is losing. Unfortunately fans like yourself dont mind losing. You welcome it. I bother you more than losing does. Thats what hurts us. Thats what makes us a soft fanbase.

...

Why not 2010 Panthers? Why not Clausen or the other QBs that are already here? Still waiting for a stork to fly over and drop a QB out of the sky and save us all huh? This franchise and its fans have been down that road before, so pardon me if some of us arent as easily sold as others. The Panthers paint themselves as dysfunctional when they're asked to identify and groom QB talent to help us as a football team.

...

1-12. PhillyB defender of bad football. Stick with what dont work Panther fans. Run Carolina run!

...

It shouldnt come in play at all. When things get tougher, we need to cling tighter to our conservatism. We shouldnt let a vocal minority make us budge from what we are or what we're about. So the louder they scream, the tighter we should hold on to 1930.

White QBs are superior to black QBs in every facet. They're smarter and more cerebral. They're safer and dont get caught up in scandal. If Jerry Richardson and the Panthers are serious about winning a Super Bowl, then every QB on our roster should be white. Every QB we draft or see potential in should be white. Thats the only way.

He wouldnt. I totally credit our 1-12 record to how well our QBs have played. Their smart decision making, their ability to mesh with their teammates, everything they bring to the table places us where we are. I dont think a black QB could take us that far.

I agree, we should stick with what we've been doing. Continue to bring in the same players with the same exact skillsets and pray the outcome will be different. Thats what the best franchises do.

...

Carolina Panthers, the franchise that passed on Michael Vick for Tommy Jone Jake, Matt Moore, and Jimmy "Pickles" Clausen. Coming to a Trivial Pursuit card near you.

...

At the time it was the perfect gamble to a team like ours. We had no quarterback. Still dont. But this is the Carolina Panthers. A few inches better than the Browns, but walk around like we're the Steelers or Patriots. We're too proud and feel like we're too good for a black QB. Being 1-12 and all. Our first preference is always gonna be a white guy, always has, and always will be under current circumstances. Dudes feelings get hurt when you say that, but when we step in the war room, all that goes out the window. The sad thing is, no one can tell us how its benefited us or how its made us better as a football team. Just because Jerry Richardson and some of our fans want to be "classy losers" doesnt mean we all want to be. Some of us actually do care about winning at all costs and dont feel we're too good to consider a black QB the best option.

All of that is just 3 pages into this thread:

So, if we follow your rules in this thread KT, I don't think you should post about the Panthers anymore. You aren't a fan. You didn't like or agree with the moves JR was making, so when he made a good one you shouldn't act like you had been there the whole time giving him your unwavering support. JR doesn't need you. JR doesn't owe you anything. Uncle JR brought us a team and put up money to keep our core players, yet you still found yourself groveling at his feet to appease your desires because it wasn't good enough. We don't need fairweather fans, we know who the true fans are and they're the ones that will keep us afloat.

So if you don't like each and every thing about our team you are a traitor. Oh yeah, and if you live outside of a .065 mile radius from Charlotte, you aren't welcome either, although I might change that one later if it fits my argument!

Amirite? Is that how to do it?

    • The Falcons win was a fantastic way to end the season and I think just about every Panthers fan would agree the team the coaching staff and particularly Bryce Young were impressive. We really needed that. Credit where it's due. At the same time. Now we have to establish it wasn't just a flash in the pan. We had one of those earlier in the season against the Raiders. As a tortured Panthers fan I have to acknowledge that. I know you're joking but in all seriousness I don't think the QB sneak is something for us to be concerned about in general but I would be lying to myself if I did not acknowledge that looking back at one particular game last season where we continually trotted out Eddie Pinero on 4th and short on the opponents side of the field we could use some creativity in those situations and it's also a matter of predictability. As time goes on it's something for Canales to work on and figure out. Especially with our kicker situation as it stands.
    • I appreciate the measured tone, truly. Hopefully we're at a point where we can dive a little deeper into the discussion. The observation about his footwork is fair in theory, but I'd also counter with 6'1" Brock Purdy recently admitting that he can't see his target on 40% of his throws due to the linemen in front of him. He just inked a massive deal, and while a lot of fans are understandably wondering what he's going to do with reduced weapons, "not seeing over the line" just doesn't seem to be that big of a disqualifier with his understanding of timing, leverage, and pre-snap reads (Aaron Rodgers is 6'2"... bet he's dealt with the same). Bryce is likely dealing with similar challenges due to his size, but it clearly doesn't mean it can't be managed at a high level. Also, I'm not convinced that "prototypical footwork" should be the end goal for a QB that isn't built like the prototype. What matters more is timing and rhythm with his receivers... which, as we've both noted, has been evolving as the WR room flips from vet stopgaps to rookies. He will need to improve there. That's not in dispute. What is in dispute is the impact that footwork is having on his ability to process and execute. The earlier suggestion that he's “hopping around” to see the field implies a frantic or panicked visual search, which just isn’t something we’ve seen reflected in either the film or any reliable breakdown. If it were as exaggerated as described, it would’ve become a meme-worthy moment (or at least been on SportsCenter's Not Top 10). Instead, we've seen a QB who, like many young passers, occasionally loses platform stability under pressure. That is something that's common and correctable, and again, not something that shows up with enough frequency to suggest it's an endemic flaw. It’s worth continuing to track, but to argue it's a defining issue requires stronger proof than anecdote. As for the "investments" made in the offense after drafting Bryce, I think that might be stretched a bit. Yes, we've used back-to-back firsts on WRs and signed guards to big contracts. But beyond that? Mingo (2nd) and Diontae (FA) are gone. Zavala (4th) was the worst-rated OL in the league his rookie year Sanders (4th) and Evans (5th) are mid-round TEs. Tremble was given a small contract extension but is said here to be at best a blocking TE2. Jimmy Horn Jr (6th) and Coker (UDFA) are the other WR investments Corbett + BC got one-year deals coming off of injury Cade Mays was tendered, but he was cut to start last season That's not some overwhelming infusion of elite talent. It's better, sure... but acting like it's some embarrassment of riches feels overstated. Expecting instant chemistry and impact from rookies and second-year guys while simultaneously mocking the idea of contending this year also feels a little... off? So far, what I've heard as your criteria boils down to red zone efficiency and intermediate passing to the sidelines? You mentioned moving the ball inside the 20s... I'd recommend 3rd down conversion rate, big-time throws, and turnover-worthy plays. For red zone play specifically, we could look at turnovers inside the 20. Incompletions in the red zone as well as intermediate sideline incompletions could provide an interesting starting point for film study. Hell, any of these would give us a more objective framework to work from if you're open to using them. Do any of them work for you?
    • I honestly can't stand the knee jerk emotional fans on both sides be they critical or homers, very much a wait and see try to remain objective as long as possible type fan.
