i saw it. 2 1/2 stars out of 4. I agree the characters were not all that. Maybe that was on purpose because of the story being about the search and findings but come on, a little depth.

I kinda like what tarheel said(white after this). The alien race if you will didn't necessarily change their mind as Shaw was curious about but more so were correcting an error.

You're really the only one that hasn't liked it.

You really wanted a huge explanation for minor characters? It's clear the main characters were Elizabeth and David. Vickers, the Captain, the other engineers were just pawns. This is clearly the beginning of a new franchise.

The movie sucked ass. Horrible plot, bad characters and ridiculous situations. I love sci fi but this movie was one of the worst sci fi movies I've ever seen.
