Bats

You not allowed to remove brown bats (most popular breed) during breeding season in most states (not sure of NC). Babies have to be old enough to fly (from April to October I believe). Their feces are extremely hazardous and can be deadly. I would suggest wait until they flight out at night and tight the metal net so they won't be able to comeback. Just don't tell anyone or you can be in trouble. Cleaning after bats can cost you upwards of 50k but it also depends on a colony size. Good luck.

Also, bats do have rabies and they do bite. So be careful.

Arsen is correct. My neighbor had them and the pest control people told him that too. He closed it off with screen after they left at night. Better tell your neighbors if you do that because they WILL just fly to the nearest house and get in their attic. Be a good idea to tell folks around you to put screen on attic vents.
