That is the canes team we have come to know and love. Getting physical and not making mistakes. We didnt allow them odd man rushes and we exploited their mistakes....We still need to limit our penalties.

Corvo gets a goal, Great play by LaRose to get Cullen and a shortie and another great play by Corvo to get Staal an Empty netter...AND LaRose should havent gotten a goal at the end of the 2nd period.....Play like this and we will be 3-1 going back to boston....

Great job by Mo and the Coaching staff by mixing up the lines and keeping the B's on their heels....they never knew who was going to be on the ice....

Great game!! Ward was a beast! We played alot better. We made them play our type of game. I just love that all there records are gone. Plus the fact that we just punked there ass in there home. Not even the NHL could help them tonight. I cant believe we have to wait almost 3 days for game 3. The bruins have no idea how loud its going to get in the rbc center. Even though Cole didnt score he played his ass off and made some good steals. We are really looking good. Keep it up!!! Go Canes!!

Cole got an assist on the Corvo goal didn't he?

Great game, Canes really needed this one, especially after the rough game one. The no goal call was utter crap, but oh well. Also, we can't give the Bruins that many good scoring chances, they are too good most of the time. Fortunately for us, Cam Ward was better than the Bruins tonight. Though, I think if we can just minimize our penalties, we should be able to win this series.

Yes indeed he did. Seems that has become his major role in the postseason, more of a diversionary tactic than an actual point maker. Can't say I blame the Canes coaches for that. Good move.

He's gotten his physical game going, he's been dangling and creating 1 on 1 situations and getting the d out of position and has been close to scoring several times. He just has to get a few good bounces and he would have a few goals.

The only knock on Cole this playoffs is he does the same move every single time he has the puck on the wing. He one-hands the stick and tries to come around you backhand to the front of the net. He gets close sometimes, but it never quite works because most defenseman know to key in on that move. He works as hard if not harder than everyone out there, though. So he definitely gets props for that.

    • To kick this up, The Athletic has a really comprehensive piece out where pretty much all QB questions are addressed. It is worth seeing.  https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7083539/2026/03/04/starting-quarterback-projections-free-agency-draft/?source=user_shared_article I’m putting something specific here but it should have a thread or something. It is an extensive exercise.  This is a dense write up with a lot of column inches used, about the Jets and Murray and Reich, all this stuff.. then it goes to backup QB and there is Dalton.  I am pasting that part: As for Dalton, Reich is installing the offense he was trying to run in Carolina in 2023 before he got fired, and Dalton was with the Panthers then; he’s an ideal option as a veteran backup to replace Taylor. Reich said this about Dalton in 2023: “The way he's throwing the football, the way he works through progressions, the way he handles the operation. … Since day one (when) he walked in the door, I'm like, 'This guy is starter-worthy.' You guys know I've said that all along. He's, in my opinion, one of the best 32 quarterbacks in the world.” ——— That’s true love lol. I never heard any of this. Pretty crazy I think, considering how the year went.   Anyway the dream is not dead. .
    • The Seahawks traded for wide receiver/returner Rashid Shaheed at the trade deadline. He proved to be a key acquisition. Shaheed returned a punt and a kickoff for touchdowns in the regular season and had a 95-yard kickoff return in the postseason. Shaheed, though, is scheduled for free agency. So, the 12 games he played, including the postseason, might be the extent of his time in Seattle. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Shaheed and the Seahawks are not close to an extension, and the expectation is that the two-time Pro Bowler will hit free agency. Shaheed has 153 receptions for 2,243 yards and 12 touchdowns in his four-year career to go along with three punt return touchdowns and a kickoff return touchdown. He ranks 13th on PFT’s top-100 free agents. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/report-rashid-shaheed-appears-headed-to-free-agency
