Best Hands Of 2011 (Smith Ranked 19Th)

Recommended Posts

LaFell may have shown he has good hands but you really might want to wait til he puts up 70 catches before sayin he catches better than Smitty. A big part of the catching process is tracking. Point being, Smitty gets to places no one can. . so his attempts are usually more difficult. He also targetted more in high risk throws since he is the top option. You cant really measure or even compare ability with stats as much as some try.

He doesn't have better hands than Smith but he without a doubt is a shoe in for second. He has improved drastically since his rookie year.

The catch verse the Bucs was insane.

One of the most exciting games I've ever been to.

He's living up to his hype so far, he dat deal, but Id love to see him take the next step and start putting the fear into other defenses. He started out slow last year in training camp and looked rusty at first, Im glad he came around pretty well last season. Now lets see how he does with an off-season around Cam. Consistency should help, so it'll be interesting to see if he jumps out this season. He could put up fitty.

Id like to see him be more passionate. . . . get mean.

Yeah, Smitty's got good hands.

Then he tries to hot dog it and palm it with one hand and lose the damn ball. Happened atleast twice last year. Needs to stop that sh!t

Yeah, cuz, you know, it is bad to try and make a play. Smitty has made a career out of fighting for that little bit more out of a play. He gives it his all every play, and fighting for that extra yard is just part of who he is.

Sometimes you gotta take the bad with the good. Smitty will alway fight for more. Ain't nothing we can do about that. He is hardwired to fight with everything he has. It is what has made him special. Never give up, never surrender.

My giddy loves Smitty. And GOOOOOO CATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just ask Goody how that worked for him. I do not see Smitty having a ball control issue. Sure he may drop a pass or two, but on the whole has outstanding hands. He is going to make a play far more often than he is going to put the ball on the groud. The whole, which is electrifying, is better than the few bad plays.

Don't take a couple bad plays and try and label somebody, especially someone as talented as Smitty, as fumble prone.
