Huddle League #2 Electric Boogaloo

Gallagher

Recommended Posts

Alright CarolinaPanthers8789 is in.

I'll play. This will be my first league I've played with other huddle members. I promise to keep it competitve.

Regular lurker here! Count me in for some fantasy football! Are you set on nfl.com for the league? If it matters at all, I'd like to cast my vote for the yahoo league. I'm in 2 other leagues there (commish for one of them) and it'd be easier for me to manage. If not, it doesn't matter which league since you're the commish.

I'm in Gallagher!

If youve got a spot I love fantasy football

Forgot to mention it in the PM I sent you guys, but the draft order is up in the original post of this thread.

Dude, you need epic music in the background to make the list more dramatic...c'mon man!

Ah, you're right. I should have added some epic music. I deserve that c'mon man.

Hey, we should have some sort of competition between our leagues somehow. The top 2 teams from The Cardiac Cats up against the top 2 from whatever your league is called during the NFL playoffs. What say ye?

How would we go about to pull this off? I like the idea. It would be cool if you had 16 teams too and our 16 teams. We'd be the NFC, Ya'll the AFC, then BAM. super bowl bitches! Hahah, would be fun.

Although I seriously don't know how that would work out.

    • I have a hard time imagining us making any changes mid-season no matter how bad it gets. Tepper is impulsive. But a) there's nothing to be gained by making a change 3 weeks into a season, you're already signaling your season is over. Is someone really going to step in at this point and turn things around? Anyone in the league? Or even CFB, because I don't think Bellichick could step in and right this ship. So the best we could hope for, is someone like Wilks to step in, boost morale enough to win a few meaningless games and ruin our chances at a top pick, and then have the wheels fall off again. And b) Tepper has proven that he is capable of learning some lessons. We really haven't heard much out of that clown recently. Certainly not as much as we used to the first few seasons. And by this I mean I think he knows he has a reputation. And no quality coach wants to go and work for the impulsive, meddlesome owner who repeatedly fires coaches midseason. We've already got to be the least attractive landing spots in the NFL with the absolute dearth of talent, conditioning, and playing surface that will keep players healthy. So the best thing to do is at least pretend that he's ready to stay out of the way. So either way, IMO the smart play is you let this play out all season.  Let these suckers go down with the ship, and if a regime change is needed, you wait til the end of the season to make a change.
