Training Camp risers and fallers

Actually 52 receptions, 670 yards, and four touchdowns in 46 games in his career (at U.V.A and Southern). Not bad for a wide receiver that was the fourth wide out on his team.

Also, I don't know why you are bringing up college stats now, we are in to training camp in the NFL. If you have been to camp, you would have heard/seen that Jared Green is killing it day in and day out.

His stats in college, have nothing to do with how well he could/can be.

So, you believe college success doesn't correlate to NFL ability?

Name another 4th wideout on a below average team that has made a 53 man roster. Continuously posting how great he has looked against camp fodder is just as ridiculous as claiming Armanti is a camp riser, even though he has nearly as many receptions in 8 preseason games against NFL competition than Green had in the mighty SWAC during his senior season.

You mentioned one, Armanti Edwards hadn't even played wide receiver before he reached the NFL.

Also don't put words in my mouth. College success does/can correlate to NFL success, but it's definitely not the end all be all. Green could have reasons unbeknownst to us on why he didn't see the field much. A few of these reasons could have resulted in him transferring.

Also Green has the NFL in his blood his father the great Darrell Green has kept him around NFL facilities for years, if anyone knows what it takes to make it in the NFL coming out of college, it's Jared.

Jared has shown a strong work ethic and his playing very well against the competition that is in front of him.

He may not make the roster, but I guarantee you that he will be a part of this team via the practice squad come week one.

  • 3 weeks later...

The safeties haven't been that bad...no big glaring mistakes which is good...nakamura looks like a solid tackler

Well, they really weren't tested much on Sat.

Wish we played a better O than the Jets this week.

    • You do, the guy who doesn’t appear to grasp projection.  as the entire board knows, I do in fact, take positions.  The position here I have taken is that Bryce Young is a weak bottom tier starting QB, without NFL starting QB tools, that we must move on from.
    • The OP for one. Asserting that people blamed Bryce for the loss in the title of the thread. That was not the prevailing sentiment at the time this thread was created. Very much a minority thing, I don’t remember but maybe one person if that, putting it on Bryce as the main reason. Troll thread. Did a good job too. Look at the pages.  Someone counting up the draft picks as 10 on offense and 10 on defense or whatever the number was, today or yesterday - of which the offensive ones were heavily 1s and 2s and the defensive picks were heavily day 3 and declaring that proof that the offense wasn’t favored like people claim. The obvious neglect we watched for two years. I spent time refuting that bullshit because someone needed to.  People saying we are bad horrible people and hate poor lil Bryce for no reason, as if it is a personal thing. Constantly.   Along the same lines is people saying we non Bryce fans would rather lose than have him play well and the team wins. That we are mad when the team wins   Point illustrated.
