ATTENTION NERDS: MADDEN 13 Demo

Played several games today. Biggest win on All Pro was 35-7 (playing with Niners)

Only loss was All Madden 35-19 (played as Giants)

Lighting is way off on demo, most noticeably with Skins/ Hawks.

Way better, and more smooth gameplay. Graphics are getting out of control. We're so spoiled. My wife got home and thought I was watching a real game, (and she watches me play Madden almost daily)

Commentary is ridiculously good.

Already finding $$ plays out of Niners playbook.

Olsen is gonna be sick this year in Madden despite what his rating may or may not be. I'm using 49ers cause they're most like Panthers. Having great success as well.

I've owned every single Madden since its inception and this is far and away it's best product ever.

Can't wait to get online so I can level up quickly. Hoping to reach at least Lvl 27 this year!

The passing is a lot smoother on pass leads..WRs actually run in stride.

Anyone try the Play action cancel function yet..Im sure it will be abused somehow.

I'm more interested in seeing how the franchise (connected careers) mode will play out. That's been my major sticking point with the recent madden games. I know gameplay would be better but I mainly play it so I can run my own franchises. Guess I'll try out the demo sometime soon.

Meh, cheesers exploiting glitches in the game and running four verts 20 times a game on offense gets really annoying. I'll play unranked matches or games against friends, but I don't touch ranked games....

Sometime around the last version of Madden on PS2 and the first version on PS3, I started playing online.

It was addictive. I loved it.

It was a channel to funnel all of your manly competitive juices into without breaking a sweat (aside from your palms, lol).

Despite being extremely good at it, the more versions that have come out on PS3, the less and less I've been playing online. I still get in the mood for a few weeks at a time, but it seems like such an investment of time for one game now. I think the cheeser/glitchers affected it too, not because they're unbeatable, but b/c in order to beat them, you have to play a very unenjoyable brand of football. Hopefully this year I'll be motivated to compete online like I used to, we'll see.

I DO KNOW that I will be checking out the connected careers with a created player this year, thanks to them including EA Gamface. That is gonna be awesome!

Played the game .. picked off the ball in the 2nd qtr with chris culliver 49ers (95 speed) was ran down by a giants o lineman from behind .. he came and got me when nobody else was on the screen.. I turned off the game and deleted the demo.. fug that noise EA ...

Few other things I saw.. The QB's still have the ability to throw off 300 lb unblocked lineman had eli throw off willis and aldon smith at the same time. EVERYBODY runs the exact fuging same like they have something stuck in their ass. Also everybodys numbers look stupid as fug on the back of the jerseys.

Last the glitch from madden 11 is back where you can return middle and just fake middle and run right or left and score every time if you have someone with speed. Ran back one with Ginn,Williams,and Culliver in succession on All-Pro.

If you liked ncaa they are pretty hand in hand with the BS .. Buy this game USED .. it will be used like 3 days after it comes out. Dont give EA a cent!

I wasn't thrilled with the demo. played as the Redskins and won 14-10, but the Seahawks kicked a FG with less than 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter and kicked off to me. I ran the clock out. The CPU was stupid in that aspect. Blocking mechanics are better, but I still see the suction effect on D when I rush the passer. Passing is easier this year. Players looked a bit fluky to me, but the graphics were overall well-done. Commentary was ok.

The dealbreaker will be the Franchise mode (Connected Careers, in particular the head coach part). If that's any good, I get the game. If it reminds me of 09 and 08 (the last madden games I owned or played) or NCAA 12, I'll pass.

try a online franchise with a commish and rules. There are hundreds of them out there now.

Who has the read option? I'll admit, I didn't explore a lot of the playbook for SF, and I pretty much chucked it around. I was probably 70-30, pass lol.

Oh yeah, I played it last night, finally... Only NYG v SF was available, so I chose to be San Fran. Caught two different user catch TDs with Moss and one with Vernon Davis. The Moss TDs were incredible, they were well defended and I jumped at the right place and the right time and brought them down, one right in the back of the endzone and I had to get both feet down.

I am more excited about this years version than I have ever been in recent memory. Sure, it is going to take some getting used to when it comes to certain intricacies, but overall it feels like a NEW GAME. Remember when Dreamcast came out with the 2k games when PS was pumping out all that hexagonal/cube filled crap like Gameday? That's what this Madden almost felt like to me. The first time I played NFL2k.

The new game engine makes a huge difference. I'm sure they'll have to tweak some things with the first update and change some sliders around to balance the game out, b/c as of right now, I can see the rocket catching and bullet passes being exploited b/c defenders don't have time to react unless they're already standing in position.

But, the movements are so much more realistic and smooth. I also love how between plays the players will fall if they walk over another player on the ground or run into another player. And that's another thing that's so awesome about this engine - NO GHOST PLAYERS. During the kickoffs, I tried to cut back behind a blocker and got too close, welp, Ginn lost his balance and falls forward on his face, lol. I had it happen with Gore too... No more cutting through guys, every player is weighted and real. Awesome experience.
