Official Panthers/Saints** Tailgate Thread

Time for regular season tailgating. This year marks a new location and the Saints** come to town for a divisional matchup to start it up. The Huddle will mark its 9th season of putting on a donation tailgate with all proceeds going to Toys for Tots at the end of the year. Members of the Huddle have donated well over $20,000 and over 600 bikes to Toys for Tots over the years. Every single game over 8 seasons have been sponsored by posters and companies alike and this year is fully sponsored as well. Posters or companies sponsor all the food and non-alcoholic drinks and fans come and partake while leaving a donation in the bucket. 100% of all monies used to purchase bikes donated to Toys for Tots at stadium.

This weeks sponsor is WebFullCircle. Please visit www.webfullcircle.com for all your search engine optimization, website design, Ecommerce, google local and any other web related needs your company desires. Call them at 980-322-0518 to find out how they can help your business excel with any of their services. www.webfullcircle.com

This weeks tailgate is catered by www.ranuccis.com Ranucci provides competition quality BBQ and just about any other food item you could think of for all of your catering needs or visit his restaurant in Belmont, NC. Ranuccis has finished Top 10 in the Memphis nationals twice and pretty much takes home a trophy in every competition entered.

Ranucci is bringing his 'big rig' this week serving a crawfish boil and BBQ with all the fixins.

Here is the usual info, and any other questions about the tailgate please direct to this thread:

Where? WE HAVE A NEW LOCATION THIS YEAR DUE TO DEMOLITION OF THE OLD LOT. WE ARE LOCATED AT A LARGE LOT AT THE INTERSECTION OF TRYON, 3RD ST, AND CHURCH. YOU CAN FIND US BY LOCATING THE ONLY 16 FT. COOKING RIG IN THE LOT NEAR THE CENTER OF IT. WE WILL HAVE TENTS WITH A HUDDLE BANNER ON IT. Located directly across 3rd street from Picassos downtown.

What? Lots of friggin' badass food and non-alcoholic drinks. BYOB if you want to drink your own booze. Tents for rain or for shade provided as well as chairs for people that need them.

When? We start at 6 A.M. with breakfast from Bojangles and after 12:30 you probably won't get anything to eat cuz we're going into the stadium at that point. Get there early for the good food and to hang out with other Panthers fans like yourself.

Who? Anywhere from about 50 faithful fans who show up every game over the course of the day to another 50 stragglers and newbs. You never know who will show up and opposing fans are certainly welcome. If you have no other place to tailgate and want to maximize the gameday experience this certainly kicks ass over just pulling your car up to the stadium at 12 and walking in. You'll get better food here than any heat lamped fries you'll get in the stadium and have a good time tailgating no matter what the score is for the game.

Any other questions this is the thread to ask in.

I'll never forget you came down for that last game of the 2004 season where we would have made the playoffs if we had made a 60 yd. FG and Delhomme moved the ball 50 yds in 50 seconds. Watched the sun set in that parking lot......and we threw the football in the lot til it emptied out.

    • Jesus my man. Save some of the ball busting for hockey hahaha
    • Don't think your comparisons are germaine. Teddy and Bryce are nothing alike. And no I am not always right  or  wrong but the difference is I let the experts inform me and follow those who do know. And after all the constant wrong takes you go on and on about just like this one, I don't feel like we are kindred souls or like minded. I will be glad to compare my takes versus yours anytime.  And have no clue what you are talking about regarding stern lectures. But I can see around here if you take a constant negative approach to everything you get a lot of support and given our track record you may be right about some things. I don't live my life that way nor do I constant like to complain like you.
    • Never, and it doesn't have to be an old grizzled vet, sometimes a vet can learn something from a young player too.   Do you not see players talking to each other between plays, quarters, on the bench, wherever, in EVERY sport? It's what players do, especially the great ones, they're always working on their craft and learning tips from others to better themselves.   So when your entire receiving room outside of one player, who has mostly played special teams in his career, has played 1 season or less in the NFL, it's not a lot of experience there in the locker room and on the sideline and is a tad concerning in regards to the proper growth of all these young WRs with great potential.
