Cassette sales are UP for the first time in forever

Well, this is interesting. I don't buy into the theory that the financial crisis has people buying up cassettes.

they're old enough now for hipster value to override their inconvenience.

Cassettes are terrible. I go back and listen to some of my bootlegs, and think "Damn that sucks! Why did I ever think that sounded good?" I have replaced alot or transferred to CD, but they still have that cassette sound. I say "Good ridance!"

Of Course nothing is better than a Record. A good old turn table. Sounds better than digital anytime. I remember when you could get a good diamond needle for about 5 bucks. Now there are about $50!

It may be one of the "panic" things where people hear something is about to be obsolete so they go buy up the stock. Like what happened to polaroids.

Aren't there folks who think they are going to take down the current internet and it's structure and do a redux?
