Cam and checkdowns/screen plays...

Drew Brees checks down to his RB about 15 times per game, and that offense moves the ball on every position. If Cam would check down more often,it will open up the whole field because the LBers will start to cheat up. But, it also makes the run game slightly more ineffective due to the LBers cheating, so it's a give and take scenario.

For some reason this year Chud has decided to not have a route under 10 yards almost every play. Its the reason why Cam has to linger in the pocket and wait for the routes to develope. If he gets the time, its a big play. If not then its a loss of 6 yards. I really dont like it ether way and its clear it does not work.

We need a better tight end than Olsen... we gotta find Cam his own Jimmy Graham or Gronkowski

Whatever the case may be, some mental math tells me that Cam is on pace for 10 passing TD's for the season. He needs to start hitting those short and intermediate routes.
