A different look at the mighty Falcons

Falcons have scored 94 points in 3 games and all the talk locally and nationally is how can Carolina possibly keep up.

Well, lets look at some of those scores....

32 yard TD drive

29 yard TD drive

1 yard TD drive

24 yard FG drive

8 yard FG drive

7 yard TD drive

31 yard FG drive

8 yard FG drive

That is 40 pts in 3 games.....bc the offense was given the ball in their opponents territory. No offense in the NFL has started as many drives on the opponents side of the field.

How do we beat Atl? Simple, they aren't as scary as hyped....opponents have made things easy on Atl. Don't give the offense a short field. Make noodle arm drive the field. Make him use the noodle and make the stone handed WRs go the length of the field.

Team has to show up early.....if they don't Cam will go into desperation mode and play into the biggest factor in the Falcons fast start. Carolina CAN outscore them. But we have to make Atl earn there points.

Excellent insight. But I want to add that the reason they've started with such good field position all the time is that the defense is forcing turnovers. The Falcons pass rush is the best I've seen out of them in a long time, and quarterbacks have been getting hurried into bad throws or bad decisions (sometimes both). Our offensive line HAS to do a better job than it did against the Giants, or the outcome will be very similar.

Hey I noticed you missed out on some drives there bud, I'm pretty sure we've had at least 5 80 yard drives, don't act like we can't do it to the Carolina Kitties

appreciate the work. lot's of funny little things about their wins. no denying they are good. the WRs are lethal and the QB is just a great game manager....which is about all that is needed. the defense is rather opportunistic, but i see them playing teams from a weak division with QBs who shot themselves in the foot repeatedly. i think they are good, but that record i just don't really see to be sustainable.

this game, though, i have a feeling this game will be won or lost in the first couple possessions and it's one in which home field advantage is going to be one of the biggest factors aside from them playing relatively mistake free ball while we seem to be making a ton of them.

LOL'd pretty hard at the in bold quote seeing as Cam has unloaded an AK clip into his foot this season thus far

to be honest despite all the reasons brought up, the absolute biggest disadvantage for the panthers this week is playing on the road. when you are a team trying to recover from a bad outing, playing a hot team on the road is the absolute worst. falcons are bringing out throwbacks in this game and the stadium will be amped. the only way carolina can win is with an absolutely dominant offensive performance by cam and the runningbacks. I cant see it happening in the dome

    • You're assuming just as well.   Morgan and Canales were hired 3 days apart.  I believe it was partially due to their connections in Seattle.  i believe Tepper wanted some familiarity with his GM and HC.  It is so easy to sit back and arm-chair QB over draft picks.  You don't know what the philosophy was going into the 2024 draft.  I believe Canales and Morgan were drafting for the future.  XL and Brooks point to that philosophy. Name me one GM that is 100% on draft picks.  Just one.  You're not going to find one.    I think year one picks weren't for what can you do for me now but Potential.   XL hasn't lived up to the hype of a 1st rounder.  I think we all can agree on that. However, there still is hope he comes around.  What I believe they saw in him was his speed after the catch.  He needs to get more consistent but when he gets the ball you kind of hold your breath just a second because if he gets free, he's gone.  The Brooks pick was a signing for the future, and no one could have guessed he would re-injure the same ACL.  This makes the pick look bad but Dallas was ready to draft him later that same round.  IMO we'll have to see what happens next season before we can call this a bust. Wallace has improved each season and for a third rounder has done well.  Sanders has shown flashes and considering the pick in the 4th round it wasn't a bad pick.  His sophomore season IMO was a little bit more productive.  Smith-Wade has been a good addition and has played well.  For a 5th round pick to get as much playing time as he has.  Most picks below round 3 should take a couple of years to get up to speed.  He's been a decent player.  Crumedy, no comment We turned Barrett into Jackson.  This was an amazing move and basically got a starting CB for a 7th round pick.  Pretty shrewd if you ask me. Coker, maybe the best Free Agent signing of the 2024 draft class. So, in short, you can't say that the draft was a bust.  It isn't a home run but all but one are still on the team and outside of Brooks have made contributions to wins.  2025 draft class has been much better with almost every pick making contributions this season.  Now take Fitterer's two years and compare them to Morgan and tell me that they have the same philosophy.
    • He hasn’t led crap, he’s on loaded teams and a piece of the puzzle. And he’s he has improved drastically but it took the ultimate QB whispers in Shanahan and KOC. You put him on this Panther team and he’s back to normal Darnold
    • Slavin and Jarvis week to week. Florida cheap shots took out our two best players.  I’d start KK so he can beat the brakes off someone.
