a lot of people don't like tara because they think the accent is bad. but listen to an interview or something of britney spears speaking. they enunciate and pronounce almost identical. it's one of the more authentic regional accents on the show... not everyone in LA is cajun.

her acting is bad, though.

You don't have to explain to us what a southern accent sounds like. ;) It was just too over the top.

I remember seeing Lauren Hutton on one of the late night talk shows and she was talking about the gap in her teeth. Whoever the host was says something to the effect of "but I'm looking at you know and there's no gap"....she went on to pop out some sort of prosthetic that fills the gap and says something about being able to hide the gap helped when looking for acting jobs.

Go DL the leaked pilot episode, different actress for Tara. Not as in your face but a much better performance I think.

I actually thought the original was completely unbelievable. It looked like she was soft and was trying too hard to pull off uppity. I'm guessing the accent was distracting her as well. The current Tara might be bad, but it feels a little more genuine with her.

If anyone missed the special on HBO recapping season 1 and previewing 2, it can be seen online here: http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=57709015

Just watched the first disc. I liked The chick playing Tara. But yeah the acting needs to get some work. And those fake southern accents! That crap drives me crazy. Just talk. I have lived in the south for 33 years and I don't have a.......well maybe to somebody from the north. But I still get a lot of "You're not from around here, are you?"

Here are some new pics of Anna. Promos for season 2

-The second season premiere of True Blood comes on at 9:00 PM EST this Sunday. The Boston Herald reviewed the first four episodes from the upcoming season and had this very exciting tidbit.

Vampire-human love is all the rage these days, and creator/writer Alan Ball throws down the fangs with a sequence Sunday that “Twilight” devotees can only imagine in their most secret fan fiction: a sex scene that is both sensual and bloody between stars (Anna) Paquin and (Stephen) Moyer. It goes as far as premium cable can go without crossing into X-rated territory.

The reviewer might be hyping things up a little bit, but considering how good last season was in terms of nudity, it sounds like a very promising start.

The link to the entire review is below. I will warn you that there a lot of spoilers for the upcoming season.
