Backup players destroy us.........

I still remember the game when Tony Romo got his first NFL start against us and we got out to like a 14-0 lead and then he brought the Cowboys back to win like 35-14. That was one of the worst games I can ever remember. I think it was on MNF.

This year: That WR and RB from NYG torched the hell out of our defense...they were both backups.

SNF...I was so pumped in the beginning, Smitty ran an end around for a TD or at least I think it was for a TD

yeah foster got a td and then we picked off romo on the next drive then first play after the pick smitty had a sick end around td to put us up 14-0 and then it was all down hill from there...

I was at this game

The famous/popular clip of Terrell Owens looking up into the field camera smiling and winking is from this game too IIRC

    • A 12 year old playing madden can draft better than anyone the panthers have had under David Tepper
    • Throw in the fact that you have to overpay free agents to come here.  Everyone wants to win--or at least have a decent chance at winning. This followed the Bryce Young trade up draft.  That is the draft that crippled an already crippled franchise.   They moved up to #1 and paid the king's ransom only to admit that they weren't sure who they were going to draft--then they picked the wrong guy....amazing incompetence. Now let's take a look at the AT trade--we basically got some future mid round draft capital.  Minnesota has a QB on their roster who reads quickly, is accurate, and is only 24.  (Brosmer).  Minnesota is keeping him on the roster because on the PS, they would lose him.  Is he the answer if we traded AT for him?  Maybe not, but there is potential--as much potential as you will find on day 3 of the draft.  He would be, at worst, the best backup QB on the roster.  Now, did we give Dalton a ton because he has a good relationship with Young?  What if Young does not work out?   Then you have 2 mistakes and no QB. I dunno--I believe in competition, and I believe there should always be efforts to improve the roster--are we trying to make ourselves not look inept?  With Baker and Darnold leaving Charlotte for successful turnarounds, are we capable of having a good QB?   Cam was natural ability and he had the Alpha gene, and we drove him into the ground.
    • When he looks like trash this week against the Cardinals what's going to be the excuse?
