Can't believe people blame cam for not having game winning drives

what the fug are you actually saying then?

clarify why you can't even count how many game winning drives of cam's were blown because of the defense when I brought up where he fuged up just two weeks ago.

Are you fuging dumb? He is talking about the times Cam succeeds only to have the D forget to play the final minute.

No one is saying he didn't fug that one up on that drive.

No some people are just idiots and rejoice when we lose. Cam wasn't perfect so the L lies squarely on him. Don't look at the prevent sitting off 10 yards when 3 points wins it. Don't look at Smitty dropping TD to make it more than a 3 point game. Don't look at Smitty slipping on a timing route when the ball is already in the air. Don't look at 6 yard punt. No Cam's the reason we lost. It is his sole responsiblity to put points on the board and keep them from scoring as well as kicking it off and punting. In fact, having 10 other guys on the field on every play is just a formality that we have to do to please the NFL. The sole responsibilty to win the game is on Cam. Although when we win, it is probably because someone saved his ass according to this dumb fugs that need banned more than Whodatpat.

Spot on.

Today, the kid played well enough to WIN. Those soley bashing him have an agenda.

That's a cute gif and all but it has nothing to do with today. Also highlights how dumb our play calling is when we don't just run that in with Tolbert or cam.

Good lord. If you see that gif and think "bad playcalling", then you are riding Cam too hard. Cam is the one that sh*t the bed on that play. Watch it again if you have to. He missed a wide open player and you think it was the coaches fault? Some people will continue blaming the coaching staff regardless of what they see in front of them. Cam overthrew Smith in the final drive today. We had to settle for the field goal. The defensive play-calling sure did lose us this game, but a TD in the final drive would have put us in a better position.

You're talking about your own post right?

Not once did I say that cam has had a game winning drive in every game, so you posting a gif of a game where he didn't get one in no way refutes my argument.

This is logic 101 stuff.

Then support your own fuging argument. You can't count how many times Cam has had game winning drives but expect everyone to eat your sh*t up without actually naming any.

Any time I see a team as good at short yardage runs as the panthers roll out 10 yards for a passing play when we only need a foot, I'm gonna think "bad play calling" whether we score or not. It was also a bad throw, but that doesn't absolve the coaching.

To clarify...

Cam Newton has had 1 documented game winning drive or 4th quarter comeback in his career (Jacksonville). Comparably, at the same point in their careers, Eli Manning and Matthew Stafford aggregated 2. 1 for Bradford, 3 for Mark Sanchez (LoL). Alex Smith had 2. Tim Couch had 3. Ryan Leaf had 2. You can find 4th quarter comeback statistics for basically any QB that has statistics on profootballreference.com.

The point is, Newton's still a young QB with limited experience, and it helps to have a good defense that doesn't give up points in the 4th quarter all of the time. So whether your QB can't close out a game due to inexperience (in Manning's case), or being on a struggling team (Stafford), or both (Bradford), you can't define them as a choker just yet. If we're in year 4 and we're still seeing this every week, then it's a problem, and by that time, Newton's contract will be about expired.

Until Cam gets a better coaching staff and defense, i dont expect Cam to have many game winning drives. Cam is the first 2nd year QB in history whos solely responsible for wins and losses on a bad team. Not even guys like Vick or VY got hated on like this their 2nd years in the league. LOL
