A couple of Quotes:

Smitty:

"Not heartbreaking," Smith said. "Tiresome, monotonous, a few guys in here are perturbed and (ticked), but we're beyond heartbreak. We're just getting upset."

Even though Jennings now has six interceptions, the Panthers' Smith wasn't heaping praise on him. "I know you want to pump him up. I've been kicking his (butt) every time I've come up here and today no was different. Do you disagree? I didn't think so."

Cutler:

Cutler said his ribs weren't bothering him. He just didn't play well for most of the game. "Didn't really feel them at all," he said. "No one played well. I didn't play well. It starts with me. Offensively, those first 3 1/2 quarters were just ugly."

Cam:

"This was a challenging week, not only for myself, but for any Carolina Panther fan that has been following us," Newton said. "We just have to come out and keep enduring and keep going and keep going. It tells a lot about the teammates and what type of team you have faced with adversity."

One note regarding Cam and his quote...anybody that questions the coachability of this guy is way off the mark. He has reacted to the criticism he's gotten each and every week. This week's post game press conference was very professional.

Get him a good coaching staff and give him time to develop and we are going to be very proud of him.

This is just one of those seasons where nothing goes our way. The refs, the play-calling, boneheaded mistakes by the players, injuries, paying a fortune for players were not using, slippery turf. It's just a total disaster.

Smith is right to get pissy with the media, they do pump us sh!tty players on big market teams. I don't care how angry our players are getting, just stop making foolish mistakes. Our players are finally reaching the level of focus we should have had at the start the season. And what happens? The coaching staff steps in with terrible play-calling that will probably cost them their jobs at the end of the season. Why give a QB who is playing as poorly as anyone has ever seen, easy pitch and catch passes all the way to field goal range? To throw the game? Fine, I want the draft picks more, but GD Rivera you're going to get sh!t canned for that. WTF is going on here?

I watched the post game video of Rivera and Cam on Panthers.com and thought the same thing about Cam's press conference. He seemed level headed and very professional, calling himself out to himself... but then also telling the media hat they say doesn't matter to him for the most part.

I watched another video on Panthers.com that interviewed Greg Hardy... He sounded like he was about to cry due to the loss. Don't blame him. I kinda felt that way too, to a point. lol

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
