Ummmm you want your coach and team to have confidence and belief... it's not even like he said this year.

If we were 5-3 with our young stud QB we would be thinking we could win a superbowl in the next few years.... heck even with our current record I am sure some of us believe we can win within a few years... In the NFL all it takes is 1 run and some luck and you are there. Once you are in the playoffs anything can happen... just with a 2 or 3 game win streak you can be in the superbowl.

Okay, so you're saying that Indi is on the same level as Houston, NE, Denver, Baltimore, Pittsburgh???

You're talking about them winning the AFC, and u think that they're "a few lucky plays away"

C'mon dude, be for real.

What Indi has already done this year has been awesome to watch, under the circumstances with their HC battling through cancer it's one of the better stories, if not the best in the NFL this year hands down...

But please excuse me if I disagree in the fact that they're even contenders with the aforementioned teams. They are NOT! And that isn't whole point. They are not even close to winning their own division, let alone a Conference title, and ultimately a SuperBowl

I'm saying they can be over the next few years... This isn't like the NBA where you have the same teams at the top for a few years... the nfl you can go from bottom to top and vice versa really quick... (See San fran).

I mean even looking at the panthers... look at the year both us and jacksonville made the championship game. 2 wins and you are 1 win away from the superbowl. When seattle made the super bowl some years ago no one saw that coming and they went back down to earth really quick. In the NFL the way it is, it's very possible the next few years from them, and countless other teams, especially given they have a young franchise qb... same for us.

for real

I love the Panthers as a team but the fans...this thread....the worst.

How embarrassing.

Can one of you be so kind to explain what's so Embarassing and or why I'm such a bad fan for NOT believing that the Colts are or will be Super Bowl contenders in the next few years?

I'd really appreciate you pointing out why I'm such a horrible person for not believing that the Colts are or will be contenders.

    • USA vs Germany today 3:10pm. Mens schedule:
    • It is like when you go to da buffet at da Golden Corral and dey have all dis food and you get the same thing every time.   There is probably something you would like more, but you go to da same ol racks and get da same ol food every time.  Not sure why I am writing in trailer park dialect, but hey, watcha gonna dooo.
    • If we don't go OT, we will regret it.  What bothers me?  Are we going to get a starting-caliber OT at 19?  I think the draft is solid at OT, and the more I read up and watch video, the more I watch Lomu, the more I want him.   I see Freeling as a RT who needs some work in run blocking (since we need to run first, maybe not a good fit) and I see Proctor ending up as a Guard.  After Lomu (assuming Mouigia and fanu are gone), I think we wait until round 2.  In round 2, there are about 3-4 I like (Zuhn--good pass blocker and VERY underrated right now; Tiernan is a very good pass blocker as is Miller from Clemson, but both are not good in the run game.  Max Ixxxxx from Ariz St is impressive too---technically, there is not a of difference in these second tier guys--good in pass pro, need work in the run game.   If we wait until round 2 for an OT, we probably need to sign Nijman and start him early.   I almost think this is what we should do if Lomu is gone.  There is a big dropoff after him, imo, and I think we'd get better value if a stud ILB or edge is there.  Someone like TJ Parker Clemson makes sense. If Lomu is gone, trading back might be the play.
