Cam Newtons Strengths ?

I would have to say his number one strength is his ( by all accounts anyway) strong work ethic. I dont see superior arm strength as being all that important to be a winning NFL qb.

Strengths: Work ethic, confidence, athleticsm, mobiltiy, and arm-strength.

Fixed it for you. Yah that's about it. Basically none of the things that primarily characterizes the QB position but would make for a stud javeline thrower...

No accuracy needed. No defenses to read. No safeties or cornerbacks to intercept you. Quick release optional. And there's no clock to worry about or 4th quarters.

Quit beating around the bush and just come out with it already.

You don't want Cam Newton as your quarterback, we get it. Why all the theatrics.

not necessarily speaking for people, but it may not be a matter of not wanting him...it may be a matter of seeing he's not as good as some people think.

but on the huddle, saying someone is not as good as some people percieve they are is the same as saying you hate, don't want, degrade that person.

What were you saying about his strengths again?

Go back to page one. Read post number 15. And yes, Cam quite often plays the part of a petulant child. Try wikipedia if you dont know the meaning of the word petulant or child.

Well I can't speak for you, but for me I think hate is really a kind word that doesn't really capture how I feel.

Not only did I have to stand through another 2 shitty seasons, after suffering 2 previous ones, arguing with Caminions and listen to Newtonian football philosophy only to find out what I already knew before we drafted him....

... but when I start thinking about the nearly certain fact that we're stuck with him for at least 1 more year and the best I can realistically look forward to is that 3 years later after this mess started, 8-8 would be an improvement and Cam reaches his ceiling of NFL mediocrity....hate is in fact a very kind word. Detest, despise, loathe and abhor Cam Newton and his myriad of fans who only gives a poo about this team if it's starting Cam Newton.

Of course I might I have misplaced hate for Cam due to Richardson, for one moronic decision after another, but there's no chance in hell he'll ever be fired, so who else am I supposed to hate other than the direct result of his egomaniac, politically correct, and whorish, financially driven decisions?

We will probably win 3 meaningless games against terrible teams this year, Cam will appear to "improve" once again, which means Richardson is once again going to feel hopeful and likely to hire a GM and coach whom he demands wins WITH Newton, rather than hiring the best man for the job and demands they win by any means necessary.

FML.

Oh yeah, Happy Thanksgiving :)

Why would someone complain and make indirect negative remarks about a player on a regular basis yet still want said player around? Sounds like the person in question has problems of their own far bigger than the player they are focused on. Anyhow I am through with this thread, I've been naughty. Happy thanksgiving.

i've been accused of hating deangelo williams because i regularly disputed delusional statements about him being one of the best running backs in the league and even more being one of the greatest ever...and my remarks were labeled as indirect negatives.

i don't believe cam newton is the future/long term solution at the qb position for the panthers fanchise. imo, his prescence on this team is nothing more than a very distracting sideshow attraction.

that's how i feel, but i don't hate cam newton.

I don't believe in giving up on a qb under these circumstances. Imagine if they had given up on Eli Manning in New York, two championships and the guy still doesn't get the respect he deserves. Alex Smith 7 years into his career is finally relevant now. You just have to ask yourself when is the right time to give up.

If you do, what happens if the guy goes somewhere else and blows up while your franchise spirals downward and remains in the cellar. What happens then, do you just say oops? This fanbase has no patience for that.
