My fear for 2013

everytime we finish a season well -the media pumps us up as threat and we underachieve. anyone got any reasons history will not repeat itself in 2013?

Here's the thing.

We don't have a history of underachieving after we play / finish well for a season. We just have a history of being underachieving. We underachieve in the years we're hyped or after we've finished / played well because underachieving has been the order of the day for all but the following seasons: 1996, 2003, 2005, 2008.

To your question? What we can tell you is that with Cam's arrival the culture of "eh we'll get 'em next time" and being OK with losing in our locker room started to change. Guys who already didn't like it started speaking up and there is an obvious difference even between this year and the last when you listen to guys speak. The longer an influence like that is around, even if he is sometimes obnoxious in how he shows it, the less likely it is we will underachieve.

We might suck next year. We probably won't be hyped regardless. Worry that you will suck next year is a rite of passage for every NFL fan in every offseason.

No way ill ever get gotten like I did this year. I'm gonna make them show me who they are instead of bragging about what they will be the entire offseason... Ill be hype next year when the season starts, but not nearly as much as I was this year. Now, I know better... Despite our roster moves or what happens between now and then, there is no way I will EVER get that excited about a football season ever again.

We all had a right to be excited after seeing what our offense was capable of during Cam's rookie year... And we all learned our lesson that not even Cam can beat his OC.

    • I mean the whole defense was trash, he was at least trying. Besides if you put a all-pro among 10 PSers, that all-world will look human. It's very hard to judge very bad units and find the best players among them. Horn and Mjack played well too, there was 0 pass rush and -1777784 run defense.
    • I was looking back and seen Evan Neal has made the switch to OG after awful years at OT.......I wanted him over Icky for his tricep alone..... I was 100% stroud too, I was super pissed about his record setting and playoff leading start......I had arich vastly over the midget BY too. But right now, BY is about the only one on the up&up. The Texans used lots of prime draft capital to help Stroud.  It's still not ready. But if you're honestly about past drafts, these GMs are not alone in making mistakes.  I still feel they should stayed put and allowed Carter to fall in their lap, but best I know Tepper had the worst rage about landing a QB for the past 5 years. The deal is with the correct coaching staff, Baker or darnold would still be here....Baker has signed 3 years for 100 million, which is a great NFL QB contract. Tepper hiring rhule and his shitty Baylor/temple staff was a massive setback given rhule was in control too. Then panic set in an d fitteerererererer had to make a winner and find a QB. Ugh.....I hope they are back...
    • Also maybe the biggest part is his fromer college buddy, Lord Lamar told the GM to sign him. It was done nearly right after and guess who was the first person Alexander met at ravens stadium??
