Jarvis Jones?

I watched every UGA game this year. The guy is incredible. But he's a 3-4 stand up pass rusher and will most certainly be gone in the top 10 if not top 5. The only way I can see him falling is if he gets terrible medical evaluations during the combine - he has spinal stenosis, and some teams could be concerned about longevity.

With a new front office, I think we throw our perceptions of "team needs" out the window, so I wouldn't be surprised if we drafted high picks at perceived positions of strength like DE or LB. But combine the chances of Jones falling with us taking a guy that doesn't really fit the scheme, and I think odds are extremely slim that Jarvis Jones lands here.

Being a Georgia fan, I'd love to have another UGA guy on the team. I wanted Brandon Boykin badly last year. He looks like a terrific find for the Eagles right now.

While we're discussing UGA players, I'll go ahead and say that I'd love to see Bacarri Rambo with the Panthers...second round pick. He's a turnover machine. Can't remember how many forced fumbles but tied the UGA record for interceptions in his time there (16).

This is a great point, especially with where Gettleman comes from. If we're not sold on any of the OL or WR in the first round it would not shock me at all to see us draft a pass rusher....

The kid is amazing... But we don't have a spot for him. We'd have to cut one of our OLB (or two) to bring him here (assuming he takes the roll of a Von Miller type 4-3 LB) or he'd only be on the field on passing downs. I say if he does last that long.. Trade the pick someone will come calling because he's a beast

    • …is Brycen Tremayne with 108 yards. Not sure what that tells us but I imagine it’s some sort of gumbo consisting of the following: - Bryce can’t push the ball downfield  - contrary to what many were saying this offseason, the wr still needs a lot of work.  - we need Coker back badly.  - Brycen is pretty good! Congrats to that young man! Curious to hear other’s read on it. Was a pretty surprised to see he had more yards than anyone other than Tet and thought that was symptomatic of our issues on offense.
    • I don’t think many fans would have guessed the Chiefs and Ravens would be where they are right now. Same goes for some surprise packages like the Colts, I’m not sure many would have put money on them being top of their division after five weeks. It’ll be interesting to see if this continues!   Not necessarily. The Chargers have lost both starting OL and their 1st and 2nd choice RBs. They fell apart against Washington. The Broncos have just beat the Eagles, so they’d be my favourite in that division, but they are still only one win ahead of the Chiefs. All the Chiefs need is a couple of results to go their way and they’ll be right in the fight for the AFC East. I think that division is going to be very close and probably not a 12 or 13 win division like predicted. Unless of course the Broncos kick on.
