Peyton and Fox lost that game

fox has gone on record several times that his philosophy doesn't necessarily revolve around outsmarting or out-scheming the other team but rather beating them up using a combination of physicality and perfect execution.

too bad this is the NFL and most teams are quite evenly matched, particularly when you get to the playoffs.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't. If Denver throws and has an incomplete pass, then Baltimore gets the ball back with nearly two minutes, a much easier task than going the full length of the field with a minute fifteen. The odds favor doing what they did. The vast majority of NFL coaches would do exactly what Fox did, and for that matter, exactly what Rivera did, probably even Belichek and Coughlin. But those guys probaly would have made sure their defenders were in the proper position.

I bet is LSU's coach had it to do over again in the Peach Bowl, he would have run the ball instead of giving Clemson a shot by throwing an incomplete pass on third down.
