OK, so if no heir to Smitty is in our draft plans, or in the draft at all, then FA is critical

the dline is not far from being great.....just need a dt....what this defense REALLY lacks is a cover saftey and a shut down corner

we need a cover safety when we are in cover 1 and blitzing with linebackers. We rarely blitzed with lbs because we don't have a true cover safety. One or the other is always a liability.

ummm the only decent guy u got besides smith is olsen. lafell is avg..lol

and the reason why they are top 5 in passes for 20 or more is because of newton....qbs can help out wr a whole bunch....just like brady makes the avg pats wr.....but soon it catches up to you..

cam needs a YOUNG true deep threat. i like patton, patterson and williams for that.

None of them are proven to be anything better then Lafell. This is a AVG. draft Class for WR. There are no sure fire number 1 wr in this draft. And most of the time a good QB can make a WR better then he really is. You have to give the WR some credit for that 20+ YARD RANKING. They do have to get open and catch the ball.

You guys are saying the same thing the d is top 10 and we are saying the o is top 10 but the difference is we are in an offensive oriented division which means we need to build a stronger d to combat them.

no. we need to be able to put more points on the board.

the best way to ensure wins is by outscoring the opponents. put more on the board than the other team is capable of putting up. have a defense that's just good enough to slow down the other team.

oh and i think olb needs to start getting more priority since te have emerged as downfeild weapons.......

that's fair because Anderson couldn't hold his coverage down on Graham or Gonzales. Godfrey fared well though. Godfrey needs help since harijuka Barbie was exposed too much.

I know it's hard for you to understand. But we could probably put up more points with better O-line play and Play calling. We pretty much did that at the end of the season.

    • I literally read this 15 minutes ago, but it sums up my feelings perfectly. FYI, the article was about 3 players on the bubble. The author's opinion seems to be Horn is a lock and Renfrow and Moore are fighting for that last spot. David Moore, WR The Panthers' wide receiver room is crowded. There aren't many available spots, at least from the outside looking in. That raises the stakes considerably for those further down the pecking order fighting for recognition. David Moore is among them. The former seventh-round selection is a trusted ally of Dave Canales from three separate NFL stops. He's a solid if not spectacular player, although he underwhelmed when tasked with significant responsibilities during the previous campaign. Moore is battling it out for the sixth wideout spot alongside Hunter Renfrow, Kobe Hudson, and Jacolby George. It could go either way, but Canales' faith and his ability to impact special teams might be enough to get a reprieve."
    • Until LaMelo is traded, this is an unserious organization anyway. There's an insane lack of talent, and the talent all comes with baggage and injury concerns.  I assume the OP was about passing on Ace...but he's exactly the type of prospect doomed to bust here and compound on to the problems with all of his rumored sketchiness.
    • Profit sharing among owners. More ‘desirable’ matchups garner more viewership, leads to more revenue generated and more profit for everyone invested. Y’all don’t think there will ever be a Titans vs Panthers SB, do you? lol, yeah right. Tampa vs Jacksonville? Now that’s funny.  Now, do I think there is ‘the man’ who overlords over all of this? Nah, but bias, even among refs, owners and media can, will, does, and always exist when there is $$ involved.  Refs are people too. Probably football fans, and as such, probably have a favorite team and a favorite player ( why would a non-fan ever become a ref). There is no way officiating will be completely impartial when this is the case. Might be an interesting idea (not in a stalker ish way) to see where each ref grew up/lives, then you could see their likely allegiance. What if 2 refs officiated the same game and they both grew up in say SF, Dallas, Philly or New York? Impartial officiating. Nah.     Would you be? Panthers need a FG to advance in the playoffs, it’s third and long with 45 sec left in the game… obvious hold on your Your team’s center? You calling that? Don’t lie, you know you wouldn’t.
