I promise you, the plan was to finish this season bad all along. They could have put together a better team but they didn't. Once we shed some bad contracts and add some good free agents and high draft picks we will be okay. Cho knows what he is doing. Just relax.

I agree with you. Im not mad that we're losing. I was going into the season knowing we're not going to win a lot of games and I was really hoping to land a high draft pick again (Im a bad fan). I just dont have that feeling of knowing that we can do more than just build through the draft.

Prospects that comes out today are not like a few years back anymore. You dont have that Lebron, Carmelo, CP3 that comes out and give you your Franchise player to build a competitive team with.

Kemba, MKG, and these 2013 players are very good players, but not that Franchise player you're looking for. After the 2013 Draft, we'll have the pieces to build around a Franchise player. But then, we're missing that "FRANCHISE PLAYER" that we're building the team around. I just hope that we can shed some money and go after a STAR.

OKC were very very lucky that when they were drafting high, they landed KG, Westbrook and Harden. We're not even close to there yet. We dont even have a player of that caliber on this team yet. Kemba? Im not sure.

I think it's been the plan all along to keep sucking until the 2014 draft. Get your superstar in Wiggins/Parker, build around one of them, with Kemba, MKG, etc.

If Wiggins can be Charlotte's Durant type draft pick, they could even package Kemba or MKG with picks/players to trade for a star to compliment Wiggins and Kemba/MKG. Either way, I don't think the 2013 draft will give the Bobcats anything to really build around Get a guy like Noel or Len and suck it up again next year to land the big prize.

I'm not taking contracts into effect here either, or Portland's 1st rounder in 2013, but just for shits and gigs...

Kemba, Wiggins, MKG, and Noel would give one hell of a young nucleus to build around. That group could lure in some FA, or at least Charlotte would have decent trade chips to bring in a star player.

That will be awesome to build a team of Kemba, MKG, 2013(Noel, Len, Zeller, Shabazz, or McLemore), and Wiggins or Parker.

That 2014 Draft is going to be the best draft In a long while if the prospects comes out like everyone assume.

Thing is, how long can we keep sucking? I don't think it'll be a great idea tanking another season in 2014, which we should do for a player of Wiggins caliber. It's the right move but for the fans, it's not. If MJ can suffer a 2014 season

of having no fans in the arena, I'm fine. I just don't think he can.

    • And, honestly, there's only so much you can attempt to do in the draft. And every draft pick is a roll of the dice. But that's where grabbing a ton of UDFAs, and targeting the best, makes a big difference. Sure, their individual chances of getting a hit here is less, but that shotgun pattern might just hit something.  Right now, we need bulk, partly to rebuild and partly to dilute the deep level of stank that has developed on this team in the last six years. If we're going to rebuild a culture built around culture, accountability and winning, then these UDFAs we bring in each season have to be the wash water that gets out that leftover dirt.  Canales seems to be a smart, culture-first, build up the good ones kind of guy. I like that and I hope he can keep it going here. But he was working against a locker room that had been taught to lose and taught to distrust or ignore coaches. He's got his work cut out for him, still. He does seem to have it moving in the right direction and that's something I was pretty amazed with by the end of last season.
    • The most telling sign, IMO, of a team on the upward swing is who we lost in the off-season. Who left that even saw the field? Woods, Clowney, Sanders, & Hekker. OK...no big deal. Clowney is the only 1 that I raised an eyebrow over and I get that it was a money decision. No need to pay him over $7M to take snaps from our draft picks when he was just OK last year.
