Josh Norman feeling the heat

Then examine the facts, something nobody has done. Norman is a fifth round draft pick. Why was he a fifth round CB? Did he not run a 4.6 40 yard dash? If so, then no wonder he was not in press coverage--he cannot recover. Could he be a one-trick pony? Could it be that he would have been burned WORSE if he stepped up?

Rivera's comments after the Bears game suggested that Norman was limited, and he knew how to take the slant away, but did not.

If you are 25 years old and an NFL CB, I doubt your 40 time improves much as you age. So, if you think Norman can improve, then you give him the benefit of the doubt because he was thrown to the wolves for a fifth rounder. However, if he lacks the God-given ability to play the position, you could reasonably suggest a move to safety.

The opinion was not stupid if you bother to find out the reason for it first. I see both sides.

Even if someone is wrong-flat out wrong-like stating that Silatolu played RG-you do not have to be a prick when you correct that person. Nobody on this board is an expert. In fact, spending hours on a board where you seek cyber approval from strangers with code names, you probably have deeper issues.

Honestly Josh Thomas and Dockery(not to mention Captain) both outplayed Norman. To me he is behind both of them until he proves otherwise. I don't care if he was a draft pick and they weren't. Performance is all that should matter. With Rivera's ass on the line that is all he better care about. Too early to tell if Norman can play CB or Safety or neither.

    • Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.  Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.   BY as of now: - To many fumbles - Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable - Not enough of a deep throw threat....   The stats you try use is deceiving.  Catchable......  That is an opinion. Show me the completion %. And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27

    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
