Contract size, extra picks. While I agree to a certain extent that due to the strength, or lack of it, of the class it doesn't make much difference talent wise between those two spots, it still makes sense to try and trade back if you think your guy is available later.

I think everyone would like to trade back and gain the extra picks. IMO if we could trade back and still get Hopkins or Hunter that would be awesome. Hard fact is that everyone wants to trade back but you gotta have a partner. I agree with what the other poster said, if we can't trade back and we think both will be gone by our 2nd pick then I'm fine taking one at 14. I want one out of the Hunter, Hopkins, Patton, Williams group.

In my opinion, I really like Hopkins (Gamecock fan too). i think he is one of the best "ready to play" WRs in the draft, but his upside is not as high as a Patterson. Not sure he can be a true #1, but that is hard to gauge.

The Dwan Edwards pick was huge to me because it meant that we do not have to take a DT in the first round. It also means that a team below us who does need a DT might be trade bait. I see SF as a team who might be willing to deal. Hopkins will probably be there at 31.

5. R. Woods (funny, not many talking about him,but Barkley's bad season should not overshadow his talent)

I think at the very least. you are getting a dominant number 2 WR in Hopkins.
