Chucky loves Tavon Austin

top dawg

Dont feed me that crap after the draft BS. The were both touted as "Electrifying" in the open field. Tavon had a good season with a good QB in a weak conference. Everyone wants to make him the second coming of Steve Smith. We'll be lucky if he is the second coming of K. Colbert.

I am not saying he isn't a good WR but he will not come in YR 1 and be a star. You don't waste a #1 draft pick on a player that MIGHT help you on Special Teams.

I went and looked too. 2nd was the best I found too so my bad but only because this is a WEAK WEAK WEAK draft as far as skilled positions are concerned.

OLine, Dline and DBs are the prime candidates.

I will be onboard no matter what we do but I pray we dont waste this pick on a part time player.

Sign T. Owens and hopefully next year the WR Crop will be better.

You were getting somewhere until you loss me at Terrell Owens.

And Tavon is def not no ST guy so I Dno where in

the hell you are getting your info from. I expect that's coming from your pure emotional feelings.

Let me unloss you. Rather have a proven Ancient WR than an over hyped rookie from a weak conference and a weak draft.

Pure emotion, what a joke coming from a guy that has a Tevon Austin pic at the bottom of every post.

You think he is above ST? So you are basically saying he is better player coming out of college than S. Smith. What guarantee are you giving me that this guy is the answer? I would rather AE or Adams do what you want us to waste a #1 pick on.

The problem is, you're comparing him to the wrong guys. Think of him as a Percy Harvin.

    • That should have been this year. Tough to sell to anyone worth getting when this crew is going into year 3 on the hot seat. I still think keeping Evero will sink them all after last year's showing. If/when he is scapegoated they need to show improvement or it's likely to be so eone else's problem next year. I do agree in principle tho, it all should have happened after last year's problems.
    • I've listened to some things that have calmed the "Bryce was flat out terrible" to just "he was really bad" in Week 1. It's Year 3 though, and that shouldn't be the barometer. I've got 1% hope left for Bryce, and that's just blind homerism coming out.  I'm scared that as much emphasis as the team places on advanced stats and PFF that the team *doesn't* think Bryce was that bad in Week 1. Couple that with so many of the QBs in the league looking rough, offense being down in general, and I feel like there's a lot of "what if's" going on in the building instead of facing the music.  Lose Week 2, and we should switch the main focus back to building/churning the roster, evaluating young guys, and hoping our next QB can have a Jayden Daniels level of impact. As we're all well too aware of, QB is a crapshoot a lot of the time. Admit we made a bad pick, and go draft another. And another. Repeat until correct.
    • I wouldn't want any of those starting as a rookie on day 1.  That said, we need a vet, that is not Andy Dalton, that can be the starter while a prospect grows and learns on the sidelines.
