Was gonna say, I did it for years as a triathlete. Thing is, for men, didn't have to do it but once a month or so....

My 15 yo son is a competitive swimmer. Their coach requires that they shave their arms, legs, and chest for every meet. It is very common for swimming at the club level.

On the flipside, massive body hair is considered a plus for competitive eaters.

On topic, no leg shaving for me. Granted I wouldn't have to reach as far as Hawk, but no. Not my thing.

I had to for a few years when I played football. I had to have my legs taped and didn't care fro pre-wrap since it made the taping a lot more difficult. So i shaved my legs so I could have my knees taped straight to the skin for better support.
