Duke Robinson....

What I was saying about Schwartz was that he would probably be the first to step in at guard before Robinson. At least at this point.

I see Schwarts as more of a guard anyway, everyone projected him to be a guard in the NFL coming out of college.

yes..wharton will slide over..but cadogen will still be the backup to gross at least on the depth chart he will. i think he is more suited to be a LT in our scheme

We all thought last year Wharton would move to LT when Gross got hurt, but that didn't happen. I think Wharton is at LG permanently and wont play LT again unless the backup LT is hurt as well.

I highly doubt Schwartz would be the primary backup guard before Duke. Schwartz didn't even make the 53 man squad last year.

Wharton did slide to LT when Gross got hurt. Wharton played LT for the majority of the Atlanta game, once Gross left with a concussion (notably, he didn't allow Abraham a single sack). He returned to LG against KC but that was more a product of a weak opponent than anything else. Let's face it, KC was the optimal opponent to give Frank Omiyale a chance against.

I'd rather keep Wharton at guard. Sliding him over means you have to make two adjustments rather than just one.

My guess: The team wants Cadogan to bet his year's Omiyale.

(for the record, Gantt disagrees; he thinks Wharton is the backup LT)

So the 1st pick shouldn't start...but the late round pick should? i love that logic I tell u what...

if you're refering to everette brown i think it makes plenty of sense, i didn't didn't say he shouldn't start, i said i believed he wouldn't start

besides letting guys start based on where they were drafted doesn't make much sense

brown's a college pass rushing specialist, he's going to need some time, whether it's a few weeks or the whole season to develop skills against the run. And on a john fox team i don't think he gets the nod over johnson or peppers.
