Why I don't want Noel.

Main reason is If you draft Noel you trade Biz and I don't know what we can get from Biz right now. But I know for sure Biz and Noel can't and won't work in the same front court.  So IMO if you draft Noel him or Biz should be trade bait. And I have a bad feeling that Biz will be the 1 out.

Here is something a lot of you won't agree with.

I think Biz has more upside then Noel.

On Offense:

Noel's Edge

While Noel is the better at knowing what lanes to run on fast breaks and has better hands then Biz when catching passes. Noel has a better reaction time and more sure what to do when catching passes (which is because he has more American Ball playing experience and playing experience in general).

I think Noel is the better athlete but not by much.

Biz Edge:

I think Biz has a better body for inside play. Has a better touch on a jumper and I think he can develop a 12-15 foot jumper. Which I don't think Noel will have because he has no form or touch on his jumper.

I think Biz can develop a better back to the basket game because he has more power then Noel and can back people down.

Neither one of them can handle the ball so no real face the basket game from either.

On Defense :

Both are good Shot Blockers and Solid rebounders.

Noel edge:

Noel is a better help side defender and blocker. Noel is a better outlet passer. Noel at PF could be a better Team defender because again he has more B-Ball playing experience. But Noel being so skinny isn't a great Man-up post player. Meaning he can get backdown by stronger players. So one on one with stronger post player might be a problem for Noel.

Biz Edge

Biz is a better Man-up defender and a better shot blocker 1 on 1. He can hold his ground in the post and will get better at that as he gets stronger. But he already showed this talent when playing against the Howards Gasol and Hibbert's of the league.  He still needs to get better with team defense and Playing the pick and roll. But that should come with more experience but right now Noel is better at this.

Just My Opinion but I see more upside with Biz at PF/C then Noel.

My biggest problem with Noel is his durability issues.  First of all, we wouldn't see him till Christmas time and even then he'd be eased in and probably wouldn't be a big contributor until late January.  Second of all, the ACL he tore is the same one he tore back in high school.

That scares me.  I'd rather have someone sturdy and strong, and able to withstand the physicality of the game.

I can understand not wanting Noel due to his skinny frame and coming off knee injury.  But to base the argument that the Bobcats would need to trade either Noel or Biz and that they couldn't play together is off-based.  We need front court depth and I think Noel and Biz could be a very athletic tandem who could guard the paint and make thinks difficult for the offense.

Who the fug scores for you??

The biggest problem this team has had.  Is never having a post player who can score with his back to the basket. The best post scorer we ever had was Melvin Ely. Do you know how sad that is??? Both of these guys are 4-5 years form doing that at a Avg level. And just my opinion neither one will ever be a player that other teams have to double team or respect in the post.

Plain and Simple we need a guy who can score near the basket not 2 offensively challenge PF. With 1 playing out of position at C.

Sounds like Anthony Bennett is your man... or should be

Doesn't make it any less sad than the point you were trying to make, but both Emeka Okafor and Primo Brezec were a little more offensively polished then Melvin Ely.

I agree that neither Biz or Noel are going to scare anyone offensively, but we are building our team around defense and I think they would be good pieces to start with.

For what it's worth, I want Anthony Bennett because he is an offensive presence down low, but on the other end of that, with Bennett we would have a 6'7" PF and a 6'9" Center.... That may give us some offense, but isn't scaring anyone on the defensive end.

Len would compliment well with Biz, but Noel is still a highly talented player. I disagree with you on Biz being a better jumper than Noel. Biz is stiff and has heavy hands. All I've been hearing so far is Noel's improvement from 12-15 jumper. Even if Noel doesn't develop a consistent jumper, he's still going to get his offensive game from put backs and lobs.

We can't make any decisions based on any of our current players especially Biz. I really like Biz and hope he continues to grow but if we have a chance at Noel, we take him.

Biz guards stronger back to the basket players. Noel guards more athletic, quicker players.

This would be temporary of course bc eventually we need a strong post player/scorer.

I like Bennett if you are trading Biz. But he is a tweener and I have a problem picking tweener that high. At best he will be a good 6th man. Like Diaw, J Green, and M. Beasley . I don't think a front court of Biz and Bennett will work either.

How long have you been a Bobcat Fan? Oak had no post game and his offense was put backs and a 10 foot jumper on the base line other then that he never had a Back to the basket game.

Primo was softer the Byron Mullins I can't remember how many times he avoided the paint. Melvin had a better back to the basket game then both of them.

You have to be able to score sooner or later you can't just depend on jump shooting and Perimeter players unless you have a Lebron James or Kevin Durrant. Which we don't. Not to mention you have pretty much the same players with 1 playing out of position.

I don't know if the Bennett type PF works in the Nba anymore. And like I said if you draft Bennett Bizmack needs to be on the trading blocks.

This would be a wasted pick because neither would bring the value that they were drafted at. And Again you have pretty much the same player on the court at the same time. I rather trade back and take a Zeller, or Olynyk. Who would be better fits with Bizmack.

BiZ

Biz showed  he has been working on his jumper which shows a soft touch as does his hooks. He also showed a up and under move in there some where.

Noel

You will notice no jump shot from Noel at all. You will also notice he finish 3 post up's with a hook shot from his knee's!!! Really??? You will also notice all his point are put backs, Fast breaks and alley hoops.

Biz has a better jumper right now.
