My wife got me to watch one of those Lifetime murder show thingys that featured the murder of Lane. And it was cold blooded how she killed that man. If im not mistaken she was involved in a armed robbery as well.

If it were the other way around Fred would have gotten life or the chair. Women get off easy on murder, all they have to do is scream domestic abuse.

Cool. Everyone deserves a second chance.  Nice of St. Aug to give them an opportunity to run their daycare at their school.  Gotta few friends that go to St. Aug lol

Dang...that does seem crazy don't it but people has to live. Life doesn't stop after whatever you did. Besides, it's not like she went to jail for killing a child, that would make for a better thread...

I really hope this was intended to be funny somehow. Otherwise...wow.

No this isn't meant to be funny. She murdered someone and served her time. She is entitled to live her life and with her record, what else can she do but start her own business... However I am curious to know your thoughts.

She is not "entitled" to work with children.  If she want to go sling food at IHOP, fine. Work in retail, fine.  But two murderers working daily with kids? WTF? There is a reason you have to pass a background check to work with children in almost every setting.  Ummm, I am guessing "murder" would probably raise a red flag.

Camp counselors are authority figures for children. Should kids be guided and nurtured by ex-murderers?

I also found your comment that it would be a better thread if she had killed a child offensive to say the least. I'm sure you didn't mean it the way it came off, but it just rubbed me the wrong way.

Laws must be different. My wife runs a daycare here in CA, and the hoops we had to jump through was amazing. He'll I have a DUI from 10 years ago and they almost said no.

But I'm more shocked than anything at the parents. My wife doesn't like my sons around other kids homes in fear of what people are around when she isn't. Let alone dropping them off with known convictedvmurderers.
