Kroger is buying Harris Teeter

I love HT, i shop there weekly. I almost always shop the sales there and base my meals upon whats on sale. I generally spend less than what I would at walmart and they do double and triple coupons under $1. Im not a crazy coupon lady but I do use them if i have them. I never have to wait in line, they will generally open another register in my ht to keep someone from waiting. They unload your groceries, bag them, put them in the cart and will load them in your car for you. I like that, I will pay extra for good service. Im not into going to a place like walmart and getting treated like poo and having to do all the work myself when it should be their job to do the work. Food lion is slightly better than walmart. They will bag and load your cart and help you load your groceries in your car.

Kroger is second only to Wal-mart on the list of Top Food Retailers in the US/Canada. Publix is #8.

I hope HT brings in the "Big K" brand that is Kroger's in house drinks.

It's sad that where I'm at in West Virginia Kroger is considered the "fancy" and "expensive" grocery store.

Krogers isn't as cheap as walmart, but their service is the best i've ever experienced from a grocery store.

Never experienced harris teeter.

They are certainly cheaper than any safeway owned chain.
